This may be asking too much but; how about a compartmentalized interior pocket for a smaller removable, fireproof battery case? That way it can travel together and I can store the batteries separately when it's idle for extended periods?

I've seen a LiPo go before and I don't want them rattling around in the box.

Hey Scott, not sure where you are from, but I never said anything about air travel. Thanks for Googling that for me anyway. : )

I just reread what I wrote and it does sound kind of strange sorry didn´t mean it that way.
I travel a lot on airlines so when someone says travel its just what I think of.
I am an american living in Recife, Brazil and travel a lot to the USA and other parts of the world

Hi Giles, Looks like you are using the foam that the MoVI shipped with from Freefly - smart solution. What case are you using? We've been considering the Pelican 1630 but the weight of the case is giving us second thoughts. Thanks, Fritz

I had the case bespoke made. The company can build and deliver it to you for around £300 if interested.

We are continuing to entertain all options for outfitting a semi-custom case solution. It would house everything that is provided with a full unit as well as a few general slots for added accessories for a fully built out MoVI unit. (Wireless Down-link\Follow Focus\Transmitter Tray). We would like to keep the entire package under 50 lbs for airline travels and provide plenty of padding for the equipment.

We were thinking a deeper foam layer on the bottom level for the transmitter, follow focus TX, Monitor, and tool bags. Some of these cutouts would be of a general size to accommodate a verity of equipment. The top layer would be similar to the foam being shipped with the unit and sized to fit the case properly.

Keep in mind these are just options before we start getting the final cutouts made.
Let us know what you think.

    Cheers
    Mike

Im going with this company there cases are amazing and they are making a custom one specifically for the movi. You will be able to put the movi in the case fully assembled.
I just ordered mine and got the movi today.
They dont show it on there site but if you go to the site and talk to them on the chat they will show you.

Gary, that's a Pelican-Storm IM2950 case. Similar to a 1650 in size but the moulding and latches on the storm series are higher quality. Very nice cases.

    Hi Freefly guys,
Do you still plan to offer a case any time soon? Would love to compare it to the CineOxide one to see which way we'd like to go.

    Thanks,

    Hey guys!

Check out the case I made for Picture This Production Services in Portland, Oregon. No need to disassemble any part of the MoviM10, it all neatly folds up and stashes away for quick setup. Dimensions are 36''x24''x10''. The right most AKS compartment has several small clear Pelican cases with six LiPo batteries, tools, backup replacement parts, manuals, monitor mounting, etc.

    What do you think?

    I second that notion.
a mini soft case for the movi folded flat (with main pan bar removed) so that you can fit the movi into a backpack.
