Would anyone who uses their Movi with an Epic and Bartech be willing to post some pics of their rig? Still trying to get my head around how to best set this up.

Hi Rob, Are you using the original Bartech receiver or the PLC Fstop digital receiver?

    Best,

    Hey Tabb,

We have the original analog Bartech receiver since we have lots of lenses without hard stops.

HI Rob, I need to look through old photos and see if we ever used the analog bartech, I cant recall as we mostly use the digital bartech.

    Thanks Tabb,

In most cases, do you try to mount the focus device receiver on the camera package, or on the frame of the M10?

Rob I've seen a lot mounted to the camera and a few mounted to the mōVI tilt crossbars.

    Hi Rob,

I tend to mount it to the camera if space allows. The cables for the focus systems are usually stiff and thick and would reduce the stability of the system if mounted off on the frame.

And sorry for the potentially dumb followup question, but the tilt bar is the one that the camera sits on?

Rob yes. The one photo I saw had it mounted to the tilt bar drop tubes though you could also mount to the cross tubes which actually hold the camera.

Hi Rob, Hugh dug up our analog bartech receiver for me. This is how we mounted it in the past. We have also mounted it on the side of the EPIC when not using the side handle.

    hope that helps!

Which wire connect your red-touch to the body of the camera? does the cable affect on the movi functionality?
    thanks

Just wanted to say thanks to Lee, Tabb and others who weighed in with pics to help me out. We had our first shoot yesterday with the M10 and epic in dual operator mode. It was a ton of fun. We certainly found spots that we wanted to modify in how we configured things, but at least we have a useable setup. Looking forward to the various bits that are bound to pop up to make mounting, cables and power even more versatile.

    Thanks again.

    Hi there,

How is everyone powering the analogue bar tech? Using a lipo battery and a which cable?

Also, would it be worth purchasing the rod adaptor (That fixes to the camera plate) and attaching the m-one motor there in order for a minimalist set up? I just can't see how the rods would be in the right position(way below the lens) in order to mount the m-one motor close enough to the focus barrel?

However, the most important issue for me is powering the analogue bar tech and mounting the bar tech receiver in the best way possible? Velco, cable ties? Where!?

I'm pretty sure the bar tech uses reverse polarity so the lipo to 2 pin lemo wouldn't work without some playing around?

    Thanks
