Anyone know of where to get replacement parts for the MX-12 controller. The toggle on the front lower left ( # 9 ) somehow got snapped off. Seems like it would be an easy repair to open the box and replace the switch . I looked on the graupner website but it appears they don't provide parts. Thanks
I had this happen to my mx20. I have the part, although I still haven't fixed it (it's more complicated than it looks). Read here: http://forum.freeflysystems.com/index.php?threads/broke-one-of-my-mx20-switches.1817/
I opened the MX-12 box and could see the part printed with " Salecom T-80- T " www.Salecom.com It does look a little more complicated as one must remove the stick control module as it blocks the part from coming out. After that it looks as though the switch is soldered to a small board by 3 solder contacts. Pretty straight forward. Gonna order the part and try it. http://www.salecom.com/prodpreview.asp?PDno=PD0001&prdClassNo=001&Source=Products.asp
Ken you may be able to get the switches at Quadrocopter. Would save you time and shipping costs from China. When I needed switches the QC didn't carry I bought them from altigator.com. Quick shipping from altigator.
Thanks Gary I noticed there is a difference between the switch part for the mx-12 and the same part for the mx-20 .... not sure they're compatible or not. Altigator didn't show the mx-12 part ... only mx-20 ... So .... ? Don't really need the switch to function, might just leave as is.
Ken I think all of the switches are the same brand and type. The ones I got as extras I got for an MC-32 and on that TX they are plug and play. It's been awhile since I opened up my MX-20 or even seen an MX-12. If the wires from the switch go to a molex connector then likely they would work fine. The Altigator site says they are all MX-20 but the base part number from Graupner shows up on the MC-32 accessory list.
I had to replace a few switches too. But back then I could buy them in the USA. Not anymore. Here are a few part numbers and links that may or may not help. The first link is to Graupner's site to make sure you are looking at the correct switch. Then I included some sites that sell them. Not sure if they will ship to where you live. I needed a micro allen key to dissect my radio. 33001.21 http://www.graupner.de/en/products/ad5bb423-3174-4c1b-aad2-6920ad769c15/33001.21/product.aspx http://www.mhm-modellbau.de/part-G-33001.21.php http://www.hoelleinshop.com/Umschalter-kurz-3-Funktionen-fuer-Graupner-HoTT-Anlagen-33001-21.htm?shop=hoellein_e&SessionId=&a=article&ProdNr=G33001.21 http://www.rc-toy.de/lshop,showdetail,2004g,e,,,6-33001.21,,Tshowdetail--rc-toy-shop.rc-toy.1278963540.graupner.import-01-08-10--6-5733,.htm http://www.voltmaster.de/GRAUPNER-33001-21-umschalter-kurz-3-funktionen 33001.7 http://www.graupner.de/en/products/33001.7/product.aspx http://www.hoelleinshop.com/Schalter-1-polig-lang-33001-7.htm?shop=hoellein_e&SessionId=&a=article&ProdNr=G33001.7 http://www.rc-toy.de/lshop,showdetail,2004g,e,,,6-33001.7,,Tshowdetail--rc-toy-shop.rc-toy.kleber--133-39694,.htm http://www.live-hobby.de/products/en/Transmitter-Receiver/Graupner/Graupner-Switch-2-functions-long--330017.html http://www.mhm-modellbau.de/part-G-33001.7.php Good luck
Does anyone have info on how to dismantle a MX-20? I need to replace a switch, however seems I need to remove the right stick to get the board out to replace the switch. It's SW6 on the top right that is broken.
