Any thoughts on this? http://brushlessgimbals.com/p/8721187/3-axis-pro-brushless-gimbal-conversion-kit---deluxe-kit.html
I'm looking at picking that up for my conversion, thing is I'm pushing weight as it is so adding an extra 1.5lbs is pushing it, but if it allows me to fly a red better it might be worth it.
Im stil debating on which one to get either this PRO model or the original one with the new higher pole motors. I've heard from yonder blue they work with a red, as long as your balance is stop on, and i wont be flying a red all the time. So its a hard desision right now.
If you can afford the PRO version, go for it. But if you aren't going to fly the RED often (like me) I would consider the other version.
Kopterworx has a similar upgrade ... looks like it comes with few extra bit and is cheaper ... might be worth a look http://www.kopterworx.com/Camera-Mounts/3-Axis-Brushless-Gimbal-Pro-Upgrade-Kit
Here is another one some folks are talking about on Facebook. http://cheesycam.com/3-axis-dslr-brushless-gimbal-camera-mount/ Thanks!
I donĀ“t know were you got the 1,4 kilos from? Each motor cage is 150g heavier than the normal "5208" motor set. The cages are bigger to hold the bigger motors. This is what i got from them when i asked about the weight. If you are lifting a EPIC size camera i would say its the price you have to pay. Heavy camera, heavy setup.
Hi Paul, Super sorry for the delay. The motor cages average about 450 grams a piece. Total gimbal weight is close to 1.4kg. Hope that helps. You'll be amazed with the footage that these motors produce! Super smooth! I understand you're on the fence as far as which kit to purchase, don't wait too long, we're selling out of em quickly! Cheers, Grayson This is the email I got back when I asked about the full weight of the 2axis kit
