I was connected Radian to the S-BUS port of New Futaba R7008SB Receiver. This receiver is the specification of the new 2.4GHz FASSTest to support S-BUS2. It did not work unfortunately. S-BUS2 is a two-way communication for telemetry. I changed the Receiver setting to original S-BUS mode is not necessary since S-BUS2 in Radian. I was the same as the results. Do you support the S-BUS2 Radian?
Hi Daisuke, I am not sure on Sbus2 yet, I have not tried it myself. It seems as thought the receiver has a standard Sbus port as well so I would use that for the time being. Thanks Tabb
Hi FF team, We have the same problem with this receiver on the radian system. It doesn't work anymore. Any support would be appreciated Thanks!
Hi I do have the same issue. Radian worked fine with the Futaba R6208 SB but with the R7008SB it's not working. Not on S.BUS and not on S.BUS 2. Do you have any workaround for this? Thank you. Martin
I haven't seen one of these receivers yet : I expect Futaba have changed the protocol slightly in some way. I will certainly add support for it once I know what the differences are.
Hi John Do you have an update on this? I still have to use 2 tx to operate the copter. Thank you. Martin
Hi I'm from chile and my name is Daniel... I have a Futaba Radio T18MZ with two different R7008SB receiver, and both have problems to connect with Radian... I am 100% sure that there is nothing wrong with S.Bus fro this receiver as they work very well with my WookongM or with NAZA through the same port...apparently the system fails to get a signal from this port... I am very interested to use this receiver since the transmitting telemetry capabilities, also for allowing me to link two receptors. I would like to know if you have any upgrade that allows me to repair the problem with this receiver.... The system works well with R6208SB, but this receiver don't give me telemetry, and does not allow me to do the things I want... Thanks Daniel
Hi I assume you have the same issue as I still have. As there is not new firmware since March, I assume that the issue has not be resolved. Martin
Hi Martin yes unfortunately if I have the same problem ...till now shows up only in this receiver...which is the most advanced Futaba receiver...I hope Tabb put some attention to solve this problem... this receiver is capable of delivering information like the voltage of the receiver and another source without the need of any other sensor input more than the current it receives from its own circuits Best Daniel
I have emailed the designer of the Radians, John Cunningham, and asked him to review your postings, Daniel. Andy.
Grate... It would be a pity to lose the chance of using this receptor on this radio for one small problem of communication protocol...this system is fantastic and must be updated always... Thanks for caring for all us customers Best Daniel
Daniel: Just so you know, the moderators on this forum (Gary, Brad, and me) are volunteers. We do not work for FF even though it might sometimes seem like we do. Andy.
Hello all... Since people who must answer, still not bother to respond to customers...there is a temporary solution, allowing us to have telemetry with Futaba...Radian does not support communication protocol for the time being of S.Bus2 according to all the tests I could perform. But there is a receiver in Futaba 7003SB, that gives us the possibility to manage both protocols simultaneously on the same receiver. therefore we can have telemetry like battery voltage, have control of multirrotor, and also of our dear Radian. I hope the information is of utility for someone. Best Regards for All. Daniel
Hi Please be aware of a possible issue with the Futaba R7003SB Receiver. http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=516179 Regards, Martin
