Andy: To clarify, the dual EC5 connections are exactly identical to the way we wire up 2 batteries with the Y cable? So each lipo goes to the same power connection on the power board essentially?

That wouldn't be too bad since you are replacing the MK GPS and navigation which all added up is about $1000. If we can get a more precise and accurate GPS sign me up.

    Hey guys,

I'm trying to use the programmer and am only getting horizontal lines on the readout. I've supplied +5v to the +/- port. I then powered the distro board and plugged an esc into the +/-/siganal port on the programmer. Not sure the correct order of operations. Any ideas?

I'm not sure the default factory settings, but I would like to turn BRAKE off, GOVERNOR off, and select Normal for Start mode as per WKM instructions.
And to be sure, there is no low voltage protection on these correct? And how do you decide what PWM frequency to use?

    Thanks!

I'm not at home but if I remember correctly the programming is done with the ESC NOT connected to power on the power leads.

Hmm. I tried with just +5v and an ESC, no power to the distro, and still the same.

Is there documentation for these that I am missing?

I have a copy of the controller instructions and can see if I can get to it remotely but if not it will be Thursday.

    HI Sean,

The ESC are all setup and ready to go out of the package with Brake Off, Gov Off, Normal start, and no low voltage protection

    Thanks!

Good morning Ebad. Would you be kind enough to change your user name to your real first name and last name, please? The reasons for this (and how to do do it) are explained here: http://forum.freeflysystems.com/index.php?threads/real-names.497/.

What flight control system are you planning to use with the CS8/MT3520 combination? Need that information to answer your question.

The FF motor control set should work fine with the WKM stuff. Likely plug and play, no adjustments required to the default setup. But I don't have any experience with WKM so other than a general answer hope that someone else on the portal that is using the setup may answer.

Ebad. I've been flying with FF motor control set and WKM. No issues so far. Flying great.
