The motors we're looking at for our upgrade: Kopterworx KW8, Axi 2826, and the Plettenbergs. Opinions on which might be the better route?
So a CineStar 8 with eight of these KW8 motors is actually capable of lifting the weight of an EPIC? What is the maximum payload weight an octocopter of that setup can support?
Personally I would recommend RC Tiger motor, very powerful, not too heavy, very reliable and super neat design. We tried several configurations and honestly for our cinestar, the best combination we found is the whole T-Motor 2826-8 with wooden propellers XOAR 14.5. So important, these motors have a 550KV . Even though I think you already know, for excellent and much much better results, I advise you to use with ESC reflashed SimonK (I have very a good address for that) or Castle Creation with their newest firmware. Results with ESC reflashed SimonK are truly without any comparison with all other ESC in the actual market... Good luck guys for your investigations... Best. Marc.
Hi Ed Tan! We've got 8 ICE50 (freshly upgraded with 4.02beta firmware) to use with T-Motor 2826-8 (550kv). Before flying them, I wonder if you have some recommendations about some parameters: - Electronic Timing Advance (Low(0), Normal(5); High(10) or custom). - PWM switching rate (24Khz, 16Khz, 12Khz, 8Khz, outrunner). I precise that we are using a WK-M as FC, and Xoar 14x5 wood or Aerobot 13x6 carbon as propelers. Any advice about test results would be nice to hear. Soon we will make a test flight with 6s Lipo for main voltage (and give here our results considering flight time for total weight between 8-10Kg). Thanks
I have not heard that rumor, BUT I have seen Tabbs videos ¨testing some new components¨ lifting really big weights.. Tabb, ist there a CS8 ¨Red¨ /mega lifter or something like that on the way? Now with the Radian in the market you must have a new challange?? Regards from Sweden. /Janne
hi Tabb Are you gonna tell us what ESC's are you using in that video, testing the cinestar 6, lifting a LOT of weight?? any recommendations??? have you try this? http://autoquad.org/esc32/ thanks daniel
Herkules III v2 is on the way. 12C and standard ESCs. 4s-6s. Boatload of Amps. ESC32 are troubleshooting bugs in both 12c and standard esc configs. WKM board test MK board (12c) test
