    Hi guys,
I have recently received delivery of my new Cinestar 8 HL.

When plugging in my fully charged flight battery I receive a warning from my transmitter (graupner Mc 20) - "Sensor 1 minimum voltage." After calibration the transmitter then reports - "Maximum input voltage."
Does anybody know what could be causing this?
Is it safe for me to fly?
    Cheers,
    Rory

    Hi Rory:
Could you supply a few more details of your configurations, please?

    1. Is this the brand new Cinestar 8 HL (it's not shown on the QC web site, so we don't have details of the components).
    2. Which version of the MK firmware have you installed on the MK Boards?
    3. Which version of MK Tool are you using?
    4. Which version of the Graupner HoTT firmware do you have in the MC-20?
    5. Do you have any of the Graupner telemetry modules installed?

Sorry for the "Spanish Inquisition" but it's hard to know how to answer your question without a leeetle more data....

    Thanks
    Andy.

    G,day Andy,
    Cheers for the speedy reply.
    1. Yes it is the brand new HL - purchased from Aerobot in Australia
    - T motor MT3515-15 400Kv
    - 10400mah 6s lipo
    - unsure of speed controllers
    2. Using version - FC HW:2.2 SW:0.90j + NC HW:2.0 SW:0.30h (read off MKGPX tool)
    3. Kopter tool V1.80b
    4. mc-20_1v016
    5. I believe i have a receiver, general module, vario module and GPS

I am still learning my way around all this new equipment. Let me know if I can provide any more information.

    Thanks,
    Rory

This is a screenshot of the setting and data view screen.
Could it be because the sensors aren't being used?

    Cheers,
    Rory

    G'day:
Hmmm. It sounds like Aerobot has produced a custom HL for you. Not sure this is the "official" HL, I'm afraid, but I don't know for sure.

That also means that it's hard for me to know what modules are present -- it sounds like the MC-20's getting stuffed by the absence of the specific telemetry sensors....I'm afraid I don't know what to tell you. :(

What does Aerobot have to say? Did they configure it for you?
Sorry I can't be more help.

    Andy.

    Thanks Andy,
Yes Aerobot did configure it. I'm still waiting on a reply from them concerning this issue.

Thanks for the help, I still have a lot to learn about this machine.

Yeah, they're so configurable that the problem is, unless you know how it was actually set up, it's hard to diagnose problems.

Ask Aerobot for a wiring diagram. The activation if they are setup correctly is in the "hidden menu" where you pick the various sensors.

    Hi Rory ...

I get the same voice pattern from our MX-20. All further telemetry read outs seam to be correct after take off. I thought this was normal .... until now? Is it? Isn't it? Would be nice to know! Is there a specific voice module to load with a cs8 ? I use a stock system from Quadrocopter in the US. VS2.2 FC upgrade. I've always wanted to find a list of common voice prompts that one can expect on the MX-20 and what they mean when used with the MK stack on a stock CS8.

I heard back from Aerobot and apparently there is nothing to worry about.
Could have listened to you Andy :)
I'll take her for a flight and see how she goes...

Hey the flight went well, the warnings are still there but it has no effect when flying. However the GPS did not record the flightlog, not sure if this is related??

Still there as in at the start of each flight ? Or during flights as well?

Our flight logs are working fine. Check the seating of the SD card, make sure there is proper contact and also that you are using a 1 gig card max.

Still there just when first plugging in the flight battery. The sd card is 1 gig and looks to be connected properly.
Im going flying again today, I'm aiming to get both the copter and my transmitter to record the flight.

Can you confirm that you had a GPS fix (little blue light flashing on the GPS upper surface) before you started the motors? If you don't have that, that might be cause of not getting a GPX file.

    Hi Andy,
I will definitley make sure to do that. The last two flights have logged so we will see what happens to the rest.

    Cheers,
    Rory

    G'day Rory,

We had similar issues with our Aerobot "HL". The telemetry wasn't setup correctly and the Mikrokopter menu was screwed. Had to reset everything and set it up from scratch. All ok now.

Hope you have yours sorted out.

    Cheers
    Andy
