Good and simple solution, how you adapted the engine to the axis, you can put a picture of another side please.

    Hi Gustavo,
I dont have a photo at the other side - it´s sitting permanently on my copter now.
Just drill 3 , 3mm holes in the existing carbon plate and shorten up the bearing shaft 2-3mm - done :)
    Cheers

    hello every one
now i have start making the converting from servo to brushless cinestar gimble
i have the motor 5208 and i think this will be good
i just wounder when i shall hook up the motor to the alexmos board,is it the same what the 3 cables from the engine plugs into the board, thinking off +,- and ground,it does not says on the cables witch one is +,- or ground?

Brushless motors don't have a +,- signal like a servo. They have 3 phases and each wire corresponds to a single phase. You will just connect the 3 motor wires to the corresponding axis output on the alexmos. In the software you can then invert the direction if the motor's direction is not correct. Take a look at the connection diagram here. You'll see that there are no labels on the motor wires.

The imu sensor board will need to be mounted to the camera tray. The wires may need to be extended for it to reach your mounting location.

    Hi Kjetil,
For now I have mounted the IMU on the "back" boom. But that's be course I only have the roll in play. If you wanna extend the the 12C cable, its a good idea to mount a ferrite ring on it...
    Cheers

    Looking real nice Peter :)

Just remember... when you shoot your first footage, please don't run around the front in a circle as its getting really annoying to see as well as its absolutely pointless.:D

Does anyone know where I can get a alexmos from the US? Or are they only in stock in Europe.

Anyone have any recommendations for the best option for motor mounts? Is there a motor mount kit that is able to be purchased or is DIY the best option. Maybe if the designs could be done we could have a bulk lot machined to suit?

    Hi Kjetil,
You can flash the new firmware only with the USB, but remember to disconnect the motors. There is not enough power in the USB to run the motors. Also remember to have the IMU connected when you flash.
    Cheers

I'm going to use two alexmos boars and 3 4114 brushless motors. What is the best battery?
