Hi all, Jon from Altitude Filmworks here, Aspen, Colorado. No we are not on fire, but lots of folks around us are, unfortunately. We are a two-man film team, and use a CS8 flying between 5000' and 11,000' MSL. Summertime temps push our density altitudes up to 12,000' or more (what the copter feels), so we're always looking for more power/thrust. I'm the primary pilot, and also a FAA licensed heli pilot.

Thanks for setting up the forum, Tabb. We're patiently waiting on the gimbal stabilizer!

    Cheers,
    Jon

Hello, I'm Benjamin Rowland, owner of Yonder Blue Films. We're based in Atlanta. I've got a long history in TV, mostly as a producer and editor. Last series I worked on was for NBC Sports. When that series wrapped up, I decided to start Yonder Blue Films, a production company that does it all, including tricky low-altitude aerials with our Cinestar 8.

Our Cinestar 8 currently has the QC3328 motors, but we're looking to upgrade in order to easily lift an Epic. We use the Hoverfly Pro as our flight controller. And we have a CS 3-axis gimbal. The rig has flown great for us, and we have some happy clients. Check out www.YonderBlueFilms.com to see our most recent aerial highlights. (Note: None of my past broadcast work is on there yet.)

    Hi all,

I'm an editor and director working in the TV industry in the UK, hoping to move into aerial filming. Currently evaluating systems and looking to probably invest in a Cinestar 8 system with a 3 axis gimbal within the next few months.

Looking forward to learning more about CS systems on here.

Hello, My name is Nic and I fly a CS8 with a 2 axis gimbal at the moment. Been working on various film projects in the Michigan area with the most recent being a documentary progressive of the Fredrick Meijer Garden Sculpture park here in Grand Rapids. I love the CS8 so far. It's driven by the DJI WKM but I NEED the CS gimbal board ;)

Hello all! I am just getting started with my self-built C8-360 and looking forward to being able to produce the fine level of aerial videos so many others have with this terrific flying machine. Starting a business in the Tampa Bay area - Heli-Drone Aerials. I am the technical guy and pilot, and local professional photographer and videographer Johan Roetz is flying the gimbal.

Best to all. Look forward to participating in this Cinestar community!
