    Hi Freefly'ers,

I am a MC newbie and have hesitantly joined the forum as not currently an owner of Freefly systems.

However, my friend, the Oh great one, Andy Johnson-Laird said I wouldn't get thrown to the dogs. :)

I do have a small quadcopter which I fly with a GoPro Hero3 and getting more satisfied with the footage.

I edit in Adobe Premiere and After Effects and happy that I moved from FCPX!

In my professional life I work for Phase One, Denmark as part of the Capture One team for Product Management and Marketing.

If you haven't heard of Phase One we design and manufacture high resolution camera systems (40, 60 and 80 Megapixels). We also create the best ;) Raw conversion software for still imaging.

So, now the shameless plug is over, I would be interesting to know if any of you have lifted a Medium Format camera on your systems. We do build a specific Aerial Camera as well called the iXA.

If there are any Capture One users out there, feel free to ask for help and advice.

    David

Did I mention dogs? I'm sure it was a typographical error.... :)
I've known David since he was knee-high to a Hasselblad user....
And, I know the answer to this question: No. Phase One will not lend you an iXA to take up into the sky just so you can try it.
Wanna try it? You buy it! :)

We need to get you moving on up to a Cinestar, David. :)

    Andy.

    :)

Actually the iXA is a relatively new product.

As I am more a software nerd I don't know if we have sold many for MC use. Probably but we might not know about it!

Generally they are mounted into fixed wings for mapping, survey, spying(joke!) etc.

But you can try out Capture One for 60 days! (Shameless plug No 2)

I would love a Cinestar and will send my two year old son out to work ASAP to pay for it. Maybe I can buy a piece a month?

If I listen to Andy he costs me money. :)

I am about 1000 quid poorer because of him. But hey, I am having fun!

Welcome David. The copter we fly is capable of large payloads. We did a recent weight test with it and after running out of things to put on the copter to test weight we had 16 1/2lbs of payload! The whole copter weighed in at around 30lbs! :D

Would love to fly that camera! Looks nice!
