This entire video was shot on the RED EPIC being flown by our HeavyLift Multi-Rotor. We are getting 8-9 minutes of flying time carrying the Epic with a Canon 16-35mm L series lens with 2 6000mAh 6s. P.S. We had full permission/permits to shoot in Huntington Beach. All the talent in the film were part of the shoot and were fully aware of what we were doing. Josh
Fantastic stuff. Super cinematic. Are you shooting at 2K? 4K? What are you using to stabilize your footage?
Thanks Steve! We shot at 5k 90-120fps. Stabilization was in premiere pro cs6. It was really smooth already though. We only were seeing a crop of about .9-1.5%. Josh
Nice work, Josh! And bloody brave of you to take the bird that far out over water. I realize that it doesn't know that it's out over water, but it must have increased the anal pucker factor for you. BTW: Anyone else have "stuttering" problems with Vimeo playback? Seems much worse recently. Andy.
Ya vimeo as far as playback in the browser pretty much sucks most of the time The clip looked great and played well in Chrome, this time.
But it doesn't even suck continuously, if you see what I mean.....play...stop....play....stop.... Andy.
very nice. checked it out on Youtube.. but it stopped before it seemed to be done?? Perhaps double check that the whole video got uploaded.
Thanks for the words guys! Yes I was a little nervous out over the water... especially when that wave came out of nowhere and splashed the copter! Scared the crap out of me!!! Tyler I checked youtube and played through fine for me? Maybe try it again and see what happens. Josh
and my hands were shaking taking my small tiny Sony CX760 over the river, I can't imagine what is was like to take a red that far out. Great work Josh.
Vimeo has been really trying to push their new "shutterbug" feature. It pauses a video every 6 frames. Phenomenal.
