I have to agree with you, If you buy film making equipment you have to buy quality, its insurance, kit fails on a shoot you get fired or dont get paid.

today I drilled the CF plate for the tilt motor.
I will start a thread on the mode and let you know
The Mini CS I made it works fine with the NEX5 But I think that the Big CS gimbal would handle the D5 or even the CX700.

Cheers

Hey guys the secret to a perfect brushless gimbal is the balance.
The roll is fine but for the tilt in order to center the camera I have to move the camera in center axis and I can't do that the way the Gimbal is now. So, I ordered this http://www.quadrocopter.com/Dual-Adjustable-Tilt-Bar_p_848.html
It has sliding grooves and metal clamps. Pricy but it will do.

Well I will be trying the RCTimer 5010-021-150T.
I like to get the 5206-150 from I-flight but they are not in stock.
Other option is the T-motor (coming soon)
I also have the AHM 36-6 which I like to rewound my self but at $120 a pop I don't think so:D

Bill
Please you can follow my thread about the conversion. I think I highkacked this thread for too long.

do you think the rc timer can take cameras from 1-2,5 kg?

what about this: www.flycarbon.com/Brushless-Gimbal

and the Alexmos controller for the gimble ,soon able for 3axes?
is this the best controller

There are two controllers as far as I know. The Alexmos and the Martinez which is an open source.
Alex said there might be a 3 axis version coming out soon.
I'm going to try the RC Timers next week. The kit on the flycarbon site is good deal. the 2212 are for the gopro only for bigger cameras you need the 4006.
Follow my thread. http://forum.freeflysystems.com/ind...ting-my-cs-gimbal-to-a-brushless-gimbal.1257/

I do agree with the point that a good stabilization system is both mechanical AND electronical, magnetometers and GPS enhances them with the algorith

can you hav
Can you have 2 x 4006 working in parallel eitherside, then the weight would be shared so you can get 1,600g weight moved?

Johannes yes they did. Bill started a thread on brushless gimbals.

As soon as i get my MōVI FAQ reviewed I'll start a new thread or perhaps a whole new section.

The one drawback I see is the battery setup. Looks like it's using LIpos. Nobody outside of the RC world uses them for anything. They should have made an option for Anton Bauer or something compatible with gear people already have.

I sort of agree with this but don't forget they are providing enough batteries to use the unit for a whole day and I am sure you will be able to buy more batteries on request. That being said I agree that it is likely that this is likely only there to power the actual MoVI not the gear that goes along with it. But a lipo is just a battery, it will be relatively easy to get cables made that do what you want and there may be the opportunity to mount for example a V-Lock plate to power your gear if you didn't want to go down the lipo route....

Open your smartphone: it's a LiPo, open your laptop: a lipo again is powering it :)

Some LiPo have already the electronic balancing system to be charged directly thru a power source.
