Shot with CS8, 2Axis with Radians, and CX760V. Edited in FCP7 with 2-3 sequences stabilized in Motion (but most not stabilized). Enjoy!
Good work Steve. Just admiring all the great videos here! Is the CX760 your primary camera for aerials? I'm still debating on using a dslr or video cam.
Thank you, Chris. The Sony is the go-to for now, partly because I'm still struggling with trying to achieve perfectly smooth video with the 5D Mark III. But the difference in quality is considerable. The 5D just slaughters the Sony. But that said, the Sony's stabilization makes it more forgiving, and having a remote zoom is pretty cool, too.
Quick video from the 2013 Pro-Line Cactus Classic race in Scottsdale AZ. This is the largest R/C event in Arizona. Josh P.S. I should note that everyone there was made aware that we were flying. I never was actually over a crowd either. Just the track and parking lot area. We made sure everyone kept their distance anytime it was in the air... after we landed it was a different story though.
Josh you sound like film credits in an animal stunt film "No animals were harmed in the making of this production." And nice vid.
heres our reel for 2013, it has cero post stab and no color correction or grading. some shots seem funny because the videos where shot in manual mode and there was a sudden change of light and i just couldnt find the time to repeat them so thats that, shot with nex6n. <iframe src="http://player.vimeo.com/video/63070057" width="500" height="281" frameborder="0" webkitAllowFullScreen mozallowfullscreen allowFullScreen></iframe> <p><a href="">Reel Tadex 2013</a> from <a href="http://vimeo.com/user15386740">Tadex Soluciones</a> on <a href="http://vimeo.com">Vimeo</a>.</p>
I’m very happy with the Cinestar’s performance now (at least with the Sony CX760V). Here's an example. Zero post-stabilization. This is all BOSS and Radians. Enjoy.
Steve Nice! Two things I notice that are an issue for me as well is the pan-jerk ( at :36-:40 ) - an unavoidable byproduct of BOSS and the descending roll shakes at :42 - not sure why this happens. Joe
