Hey Guys... I am in the midst of building another CS6 and CS8, everything else is in order, only outstanding item are the motors. My usual motor supplier is out of stocks for the KW8 i usually use. Just wondering what are the other options out there that you guys are on. Before the KW8, we used to use AXI 4120, but the KW8 work great at 120gm lighter per motor, potentially we saved almost 1kg by going with the KW8. So am hoping to find something comparable for the time being till the KW8s are back in stock. =D
Those look similar to the quadrocopter motors? http://www.quadrocopter.com/QuadroPower-Motor-QC-3328_p_392.html Josh
Hey thanks for the suggestion... But they are not the same unfortunately, the kw8s are taller. This one looks like a kw4, they all look like tiger motor oems, and if they are, seems like I'm screwed, tiger seems to be out of stocks over.
Thats what I also thought when I saw them (them being smaller) but wasn't 100% sure. I too am looking at upgrading motors to something a little more powerful. Josh
Hey Josh, So far we have had the AXI 4120, they worked well, but were bloody heavy... Then we chanced upon the KW8, they work fine, cant tell if its better than the 4120 or not, but they are about 120gm lighter than the 4120 per motor. So on a CS8, thats almost 1kg weight savings already. But sadly, all these motors seem to be out of stocks the world over. Major bummer... =(
I just got some tiger motors for my first cs8 the other day. Still waiting on my defective wkm to be warrantied though before I can test anything
Twister... u know anywhere online i can buy more motors? seems like all the usual sources are out of stocks at the moment. =(
Hey... Looking for something similar to this... http://www.kopterworx.com/Motor-Servo-and-more/KW8-pro-+-6mm-adapter I check with KW, even their AXI 2814s just went out of stocks... seems like there is a sudden multi rotor flood in the world.. =(
hey guys... opinions please.. i might have found the motor i want... but there are two models..which you think more suited? http://www.rctigermotor.com/show.php?contentid=144 The 380KV max thurst is with 14x6 props..which i have alot of, the 550KV max thurst is with 13x4.5 props.. If this were to be on a Cinestar8 lifting quite a heavy load.. which motors would you go with? =D Ed
let me know if you find anywhere that sells it online...need to order some desperately man.. the local tiger distributor not very helpful.. all the can tell me is that they dont carry that range...
