    Howdy...

I have the lawmate transmitter/receiver from QC.

The lawmate is supposed to have 8 channels, I believe, however the dip switches where you select the channel is completely covered by hot glue of some sort. I can't see what channel it's on, nor can I change the channel. I have tried to get some the of glue away with a toothpick, but I can't get very deep and am afraid of hurting the PCB.

The receiver can be set to 8 different channels, and seems to receive video on 3 or 4 different channels, but I'm not sure if this is just bleed, or what channel it is supposed to be set to.

Question: What is the a 'default' channel that the lawmate is set to, and should I be able to easily change that?

    Thanks!

    Best,

    Ben

So any idea which channel is that on the receiver?

...and why does QC offer this as "• 8 channels DIP switch selectable."

    Best,

    Ben

    OK. Think I found it...

It's channel 8 on the TX, and the receiver needs to be set to Bank "B" channel 8....

Man...they don't like to make this stuff easy :)

I believe in Canada they can operate on more frequencies -- just in case you have any friends up there? ;)
