Hey folks, Thanks in advance for your help. I recently upgraded from an M15 to a pro and I'm noticing a little pan / tilt wobble after shooting some test footage in 60fps. The problem seems to have been solved by lowering the stiffness settings from the 100 range down to around 70, but I'm curious to know if you all have seen this, and if you had a different solution / explanation? Setup is: -Red Epic W -Canon 24-70L -Nucleus (1 motor) -TB 50's w/ lemo powering nucleus motor -Stiffness on all motors around 100 -Filter on all motors between 2-5 Video Reference:
What are your Hold Strength settings? Sometimes they can cause these twitches if they are too high. Was the truck running when you shot this, or is the engine off?
Thanks for the quick response Graham! The truck was off and hold settings were all at an 8. After setting the movi down, the noise on the roll motor seemed most significant. After reduced from 120 down to 80, the movi seemed to be a little happier.
I usually find the Movi's AutoTune to be a bit much, and will set the motors too strong, even at 50%. I almost always have to turn them down a bit, or increase filter a little. A Stiffness of 80 for that payload doesn't sound unreasonable to me. It's a pretty light lens you have on there.
