Hi! New to Freefly Movi, tried the Movielapse Mode but got Roll and Tilt options locked. No way to unlocked it. So, unable to turn as the gimble keeps locked. I’m using the latest firmware version, 1.2.3. In Majestic mode, no issues is changing Tilt and Roll options. Any clue? Thanks. Luis de Freitas
Hey Luis, If you press and hold the Action button on the Movi, it'll allow you to reframe the shot - you'll have to move the gimbal toward the direction you desire, then let it go, the Movi will then lock onto that position.
Thanks, Tim. Cleared! As Freefly any explanation about this? I gone throughout theirs tutorial but the "reframe" action in Movielapse, is not explained. Thanks Again. Rgds, Luis de Freitas
"Movilapse method now has a trigger functionality, which momentarily enables you to reframe your shot. This is useful if you want to quickly adjust your frame in between takes, or even cooler, you can use it during a shot to get amazing orbit effects." Demo here
Deniz, What does the trigger button actually do in this case? I watched the video, and I thought the explanation was that the trigger temporarily switches to Majestic mode. If that's the case, can this be used for longer periods of shooting in Majestic (assuming one's finger doesn't get tired)? Does the trigger do the same thing in other modes?
You can read more here https://freeflysystems.com/knowledge-base/what-do-the-trigger-buttons-on-the-front-of-the-movi-do I thought the explanation was that the trigger temporarily switches to Majestic mode. Want to start with the terminology. We usually refer "method" as a combination of modes/features all packaged into one. For instance, Movilapse method is a combination of timelapse recording mode and a special slow Movi response mode. When you press and hold the action trigger when using Movilapse method, it temporarily switches the response of the Movi to "fast", however recording mode continues to be timelapse. If that's the case, can this be used for longer periods of shooting in Majestic (assuming one's finger doesn't get tired)? Sure.. Note that you would be recording a timelapse and a regular video. Reframe has two use cases in Movilapse. One of them is to reframe your shot before each take. The second one is to use it during the shot to create cool transition effects where you move fast around a subject. For this, we still recommend using reframe only when needed. There is a reason why the response setting in Movilapse has the options of "slow", "slower", "slowest". Movi needs to move very slowly since when you speed up the footage to create the timelapse, you don't want the footage to look jittery.
