I edited my post a bit to add that I did not really make any changes to the frame itself. Just chose the correct kv motor/esc combo for 6s.

Might I ask which motors and ESCs you ended up using? Sorry if this is already posted somewhere...

    Thanks
    Andy.

Tiger Motors MT3515-400kv and the Castle Ice 50's running their Multirotor Firmware.(WKM flight controller) I also ordered RC Boca Ceramic bearings for the motors but don't have them yet.

Ill add my info to my signature so it is easier to find and I don't look like such a rookie :)

    Hey Tristan:
Thanks -- I was just searching to make sure I'd not overlooked any posting where you identified the motors and the ESC.

I made an order on the 25th last week to MAXAMPS to test (2) 11A lipos 14.8V, fortunately they are VERY slow processing orders, apparently Clint was not in the office and they don't process orders unless he is there, I'm quite disappointed to read that they claim to have real 40C rating, which is not true at all. Thanks for posting this, still on search for an 10A+ Lipos.

Avoid the Maxamps 11000 the voltage sags and they might as well be QC6200s
    Go with the Maxamps 10900/120C.

I've only done one informal test with the Maxamps 10900. I was flying indoors, just hovering at 2 meters. This was back in August last year.
    QC6200: 5:23
    Maxamps10900: 9:13.

Cinestar 8, 3-Axis gimbal, Radians, Sony CX760 as payload.

Andy - what is your impression of the quality vs. TP or QC batteries?
    Thanks-

Andy, I believe those you tested are different from these, the one you tested is 40C rating, these are 120C.

I had previously tested the Maxamps 11000 and I think they were 40C.
The 10900's are 120C (according to the label).

I've not tried the TPs, I'm afraid.
But I like the QC's in terms of their reliability. Not had any problems with them at all.
Now if only I could say that about the damn pilot.... ;)

How have the 10900Mah packs worked out for you?

Very limited testing, Joshua. The weather went very bad in Oregon and then I got into a DVD production schedule.
So Message #74 is the only data point i have, I'm afraid.

    Andy.
