Movi App Version: 1.3.0 B172 Hardware: iPhone XS iOS Version 12.0.1 I had a very sad experience today; took several long movilapses, only to discover every last one of them exported to my photo roll as this strange green static. While I'm moderately sure there's probably no way to rescue that footage, any ideas of what might have gone wrong, or if there's something I could do on my end to keep that from happening?
I’ll let someone else address how to possibly address the footage, but I would highly recommend you send in a beta feedback form. https://freeflysystems.com/support/movi-support/beta Scroll down to the feedback form. They need to know this information. I also have the iPhone XS and will see what happens with mine. Haven’t tried a movilapse since I upgraded phones.
I was able to record a couple of movilapses, just a few seconds apiece. It could be the longer movilapses corrupted. Movi App Version: 1.3.0 B172 Hardware: iPhone XS iOS Version 12.0.1
I have also experienced the Green static result after using Movilapse. It is however, inconsistent. Movi App Version: 1.3.2 B193 Hardware: iPhone XS iOS Version 12.1.2
I have a theory about the green static, one I haven't yet had time to test out personally yet. I suspect the issue has something to do with contention for the camera while the lapse is being created. Just curious - David, Kevin -- by any chance was the native iOS or other camera app open at the same time when you had the issue? In my case, I'm often trying to swap between making still photos and videos, so I may have had the camera app still active when the problems initially occurred. It may explain why the issue doesn't happen consistently.
