Monitor Mounting Solutions - What do you use?

I have always had issues with the 13mm quick release monitor mount on the handle. The hinge that allows the monitor to adjust up and down have always given me problems; becoming loose occasionally, wobbling, and not feeling very sturdy.

Finally today while finishing up a long shoot day, the entire 13mm quick release monitor mount came off. Luckily it was while I was breaking down gear.

I need a replacement. Is the Adjustable Monitor Mount Quick Release the Freefly sells still the best solution or is there something better? I would also like the option of mounting on the side of the ring, not just the top.

What do you use to mount your monitor to the Movi Pro? (Current monitor I'm using is a SmallHD 702)

I post this a bunch, but I've tried many monitor mounting solutions. This is the best I've come up with for speed, durability, flexibility and price. I'll also attach some photos.

It starts with the Impact Atom Clamp:

Eventually, these become a little stiff, and I just buy a new one. For $18, they work really well, don't slip on carbon fiber, and can go from Ring to Handlebar to C-Stand or Dana Dolly or whatever. I just move the monitor around so quickly with it. Go from mounting to the bottom of the ring to the top in seconds.

Then I use Ultralight Control Systems for their 1/4-20 (with locking washer on the Atom Clamp so it doesn't come loose), Sue's Knuckes, and then a Monitor Mount. Sue's Knuckles can be tricky to find, but it allows for more mounting positions.

I keep a lot of Ultralight options in my kit for various things. Sometimes I use it to mount the Mimic onto something, or a video receiver, or whatever. You can push on them and they'll bend, but won't break. And I guess if they did break, they're simple to repair or cheap to replace just the part you need.
