Hi everybody, The Mövi app (iPhone x)provides only wifi connection, but I did`t have a wifi modul on my m5. Is there a way to change this on the app? I can't find the m5 in the bluetooth list at the iPhone X The connection to my Macbook works well. Any ideas? Thanks in advance Peter
Hi Peter: If I understand you correctly, your iPhone X can detect the M5? If that is the case, then it points to an issue with the Bluetooth software stack on the iPhone X. What I would try is this: Be sure that you have unpaired the M5 from your Mac. Sometimes it seems as though Bluetooth will only allow one device at a time to be paired. If that doesn't work, then using Settings -> Bluetooth and turn the Bluetooth off on the iPhone X. Wait a few seconds and turn Bluetooth back on and see if that fixes things. If that doesn't work, then hard reset the iPhone X by pressing the top left hand button (volume up) simultaneously with the right hand button for a couple of seconds, then swiping the "slide to power off" to the right. Then restart the phone by pressing the right hand button. When it comes back on, check Settings -> Bluetooth and make sure it's on and see if you see the M5 now. Hope that helps....the Bluetooth stack on iPhones has often seemed a little sketchy to me. Hi Peter: Could you confirm one thing, though -- the Mac does detect the MoVI, right? I'm just trying to figure out whether the issue is the MoVI or the iPhone's Bluetooth stack...and, if your does detect the MoVI, then that would see to suggest that the problem is just with the iPhone. It might be prudent for you to open up a ticket by sending an email to Freefly Support (support@freeflysystems.com) and see if anyone at Freefly has experience of this problem. Hi Andy, Thank you for your answer! I can confirm that the Mac does detect the MoVi. I think that`s a iPhone (Mac OS) issue. I already contacted the Freefly Support and wait if they can help me. All the Best, Peter
Now I have the answer from The Freefly support: With Apple device iOS I need a WIFI adapter. Android runs well without! Too bad. Now I have to purchase a cheep android device.
I'm encountering a similar problem, M5 is discoverable on Mac but not on iOS via bluetooth. Confirming there's no newer solution, and that I need to add wifi module or android device to access configurator app?
