    Hey guys,

Headed out on a feature this week and need to use wheels. Got the Klassen ones up and running but it seems I need to tune down the Pro more than I'd like to prevent oscillations when in use. Here are my settings:

    General Menu:
    • Gimbal Applicaiton = Handheld

    Remote Operator Config Menu:
    • Pan Joystick Smoothing = 0
    • Pan Joystick Expo = 0
    • Pan Joystick Window = 5 uS
    • Tilt Joystick Smoothing = 0
    • Tilt Joystick Expo = 0
    • Tilt Joystick Window = 5 uS
    • Pan/Tilt Remote Speed Adjustment = Independent
    • Tilt Control mode = Rate
Remote Rate Scale is set to around 100 under Dual Op Adjustments in the Freefly app.

    Remote Controller Config Menu:
    • Radio type = s.bus
    • Map Remote Mode = 6
    • Map Remote Pan = 1
    • Map Remote Pan Rate = 5* (for the M15 Klassen said 7 was ideal)
    • Map Remote Tilt = 2
    • Map remote Tilt Rate = 5* (for the M15 Klassen said 7 was ideal)
    • Map Remote Roll Trim = 5* (for the M15 Klassen said 4 was ideal)
    • Map Remote Shutter = 8
    * In order to get the desired 1500uS readings for Pan Rate, Tilt Rate and Roll Trim, I adjusted accordingly as described above.

    Switch Config:
    • Left switch = 6
    • Right switch = 7

The Futaba radios trim setting are all set to 15 on the wheels.

    Axis Output:
    • Pan Axis Output = Rate
    • Tilt Axis Output = Rate
    • Roll Axis Output = Angle

Any ideas or tips for optimal use? Thanks!

    Hi Justin,

Did you ever get anywhere with this? We’re in the same boat with the XL...!

Hi James, no one has reached out yet. I would keep an eye on the remote rates as I stated above because the desired 1500uS readings required different values than the M15. Other than that, just tuning to the aggressiveness of your wheels will hopefully yield desirable results.

I found I could tune higher if the DP didn't need the wheels to be as reactive (Remote Rate Scale was set to around 100 under Dual Op Adjustments for my DP to start. Tried to get it lower whenever possible).

Or just upgrade your wheels... The $1000 update makes this a thing of the past, for the most part.

Haha I don't think I'd upgrade wheels I rented but I'll let my buddy know.
