Hi, I'm planing to rig the Movi on a 45mm grip tube with a baby pin big ben for top shooting. Does anyone know if the "Toad on a stick" (or more accurately, the screw locking into the baby pin) is designed to hold the Movi not sitting on the pin but hanging from it? I hope I've made my self clear. Thanks!

I'm not sure of the actual design specs... that's a question for Freefly Engineers.

I personally would use the Ninja Star for a rig like this, but it really depends on the weight of your camera and Movi setup. With a lighter camera, it's probably OK. I had a really heavy setup the other day that I definitely wouldn't rig to an upside down Toad on a Stick... it was over 30 lbs. altogether.

If nothing else, use a lanyard or webbing as a safety line. We usually run it through the pan tubes, in case the Toad gives out.

I wouldn't even exercise that idea! Use a toad and ninja star.

I'll be using the ninja star. Quick stupid question here: today I unboxed my new movi pro (after a while working with other companies Movi) and I'm curious about what's the rubber/carpet tape that comes with the Pro, any idea :p? Thanks graham for your general contributions!

I wondered the same. It's to wrap around the ring for grip.
