Hey Guys, I've just received my MoVI Pro, however I cannot connect to it. I've tried my Android phone on both Bluetooth and Wifi. It does not see it. If I hit "Discover" the app crashes. With the message "Unfortunately, Freefly MoVI has stopped." Ive also tried on a Apple phone via wifi. Again it's not discoverable? Is there a discoverable mode I need to enable? Also I cannot connect the Mimic... I have tried various different channels on both movi and mimic controller.
Hi Ken, a lot of us had trouble pairing the Mimic, but here's a thread on it that may be helpful. My best advice is to keep trying, and there are some good tips in here: http://forum.freeflysystems.com/index.php?threads/trouble-with-paring-mimic-to-movi-pro.8712/ As for the app, can you confirm that you're using the Movi Pro version of the app, and not the regular Movi app? It should be named Movi Pro on your device, and there are two versions, one for the M5\10\15 and one for the Pro.
Graham, you are a life saver! I assumed the new(ish) MoVI app was for the pro. After downloading the MoVI Pro app. All connected with no problems. Also with the Mimic, I think I had been connected the whole time, but didn't know to turn it on on the mimic. - it's simple when you know Thanks again!
Like I said, I think one of the most important steps to bind the Mimic is you first have to post to the Forum that you can't get the Mimc to bind. Works every time.

I just got my Pro today and I can’t get the pro app to connect to my iPhone. Could it be an iOS 11 thing?
Scott: I don't think it's an iOS 11 thing -- I just tried with an iPhone 6, iPad Air 1, iPad Pro 10.5, (all running iOS 10.3.3) and none of them could see the MoVI Pro. I've opened up a support ticket with FF -- I'll let you know what I hear back. Oh...and I did all the usual rituals with the iOS devices (EDIT: That is, turning off and on Bluetooth and restarting the iOS devices), and, of course, power cycled the MoVI Pro. Even tried an autotune for good measure. Cheers Andy Forensic Software & sUAV / Drone Analyst : Photographer : Videographer : Pilot (Portland, Oregon, USA): Trees=2, Ground=1, Props=11. Hi Andy, I appreciate your help with this. I actually just tried on my iPad mini with 10.3 (I think) and it found it right away. Strange. Using it on my phone is obviously more convinient especially while I’m working a wedding.
Can you confirm which version of iOS is on your iPad mini, please, Scott. (Settings > General -> About -> Version (eighth item down in About)). Given what you found that would tend to suggest that the MoVI Pro is working fine and the problem is an incompatibility with iOS or it's version of Bluetooth. https://www.theverge.com/2017/9/19/16332562/ios-11-32-64-bit-apps-update-wont-work-apple-iphone Freefly's apps aren't on my list, meaning they should be good to go. Scott, there are two different Freefly Movi apps in the app store. One is legacy, and the other is for Movi Pro. Are you sure you have the correct one on your iOS 11 phone?
I'm also running the MoVI Pro app (but, of course, I still have the legacy MoVI app). Unfortunately, I don't have any iOS apps that are NOT on 10.3.3. I'm not planning to upgrade to iOS 11 just yet. Well, I rebooted my iPhone and now it connects. Sometimes wiping out the little bugs helps. Thanks for your help Andy!
Yeah....I just tried one more time (in the middle of a thunderstorm in Portland, OR) and it connected. I think we just need to find a way of letting the MP know that we're serious and a thunderstorm might be part of it. Weird. Now the question will be whether it can connect under iOS 11.... Andy
If you have a cannot connect app store in iOS 11 on iPhone, here’s the fix: https://www.howtoisolve.com/cannot-connect-to-app-store-ios-11-iphone-ipad/
I've just spent a while trying to connect via Bluetooth and discovered if GPS is off on my Android phone it can't see or connect to a MoVi Pro. Turn GPS on and hey presto. No idea why this is essential, but worth trying for anyone struggling.
