Hmmm. Did you also make sure the Mimic sits perfectly still for 5 to 10 seconds when you boot it up? The status icon needs to turn from red to green, I think. If you're holding it in your hands, it can be moving too much, so I set it on a table or the ground when I turn it on.
I have had troubles mairing on 2 movi pros. The way i got it to work was: - Power on mimic - Power on movi - set channels - hit bind on movi - move 5+ feet from movi with mimic - hit bind om mimic when the progress bar on the movi is past half Worked 3 times in a row on the second pro that I bound it to. Remember to keep the mimic more than 5' away or you will possibly have your pro spazzing out a bit. Keep trying, it will bind!
Not sure if anyone else is having issues binding still.. But I recently had binding issues, and tried everything above extensively with no luck. Im on the beta firmware also.. When I used the app to connect to mimic, and turned on HeadTracker under the first MIMIC menu, solution was instantaneous (as in I didn't even need to bind the mimic again). If I turned this off, it would give me LOS again, and so forth. I did remember changing that setting when I tried to work out Target Mode (MIMIC as Target), and since then it broke the connection. Now reliable and all good.
Hi guys, I've got the same issue here. Tried different channels, Majestic Angle, etc but no luck so far. I've noticed doe that when I go from OFF to Kill on the mimic the MoviPro reacts to the settings and the motors go off and when I turn it off the motors are on. When put in mimic mode nothings happens. Any ideas of why is not working properly? Cheers!
Hi Razvan, So does this mean your Mimic is connected to the Movi? What does your Radio page say on the Movi when you have the Mimic turned on to 'Mimic'? Because it's receiving the 'Kill' command, I would think your Mimic is connected, but you can see what the Movi says on the Radio page. It will probably say 'LOS' when you turn the Mimic Off. In the new Beta firmware, you can see the Mimic signal. In the app, there are two settings you can check: Under Dual Op, your Radio Type should be on Movi Controller, and then your Mimic Mode should be either Direct or Level Roll, depending on whether you want the Roll commands translated from the Mimic or if you want the Movi to always maintain a level horizon. If you're still having problems, you should contact Freefly support: Support@freeflysystems.com.
Thanks for your reply guys. I've updated both MIMIC and MOVI Pro to v1.1 BETA but no luck. I have good Radio signal on MOVI Pro, I can turn it off and on but when put in MIMIC mode doesn't do anything. I made sure Radio Type should be on Movi Controller and Mimic Mode on Direct but no mimic. Cheers
It sounds like an issue for Freefly support, then, since with all that, it sounds like it should be working. Please let us know what you find out. If you open the app, connect to the Mimic instead of the Movi Pro, and look at some of the charts under the Monitor tab, do you see movement in the graphs when you move the Mimic around? Like Acceleration and stuff?
Another thing to try is to load default config (settings) on your devices: Connect to MIMIC or MōVI Pro Go to Monitor. Under Status, open Terminal. Tap "Load Defaults" After this power down MIMIC or MōVI Pro via power button. (if you remove battery, then settings won't be actually saved). Also you might need to rebind after this.
Having all of the same problems as everyone else in this thread...any chance there is something missing that I've overlooked?
Solved my issue by just updating the firmware on both devices. Sometimes the simplest solution works!
