Firstly if it's not too much trouble, would you be kind enough to change your user name to your real first name and last name, please? The reasons for this (and how to do do it) are explained here: http://forum.freeflysystems.com/index.php?threads/real-names.497/

Secondly, I suspect you mean "I can NOT make the update," right? If so, could you try the attached file?
Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks
    Andy

    Hey Andy,

He doesn't seem to be able to load the firmware file in the first place: It may be that his firmware file is corrupt somehow - but if your answer doesn't fix it, do you have the link for the 'unicode' problem thread ?.

    Hi Andy.
I have just tried to update to firmware 1.03 using bootloader 1.1 and am getting the same problem as Tristan i think it was, ie that when you try and laod the firmware file it's status is 'Invalid data format on input line 1'
Was working fine on previous versions. Any thoughts on how I can get it to load? I am running uk version of windows 7 home premium.
Thanks and hope you had good holidays and happy new year:)
    Kat

    Hi Kat:
Happy new year to you...sounds like you've been getting serious rain in the South (of England) so I was wondering whether you were getting much flying/filming in....

I suspect the downloaded file you have is mangled.
Scroll up on this thread to message #102 and try the attached file there and let me know if that works please!

Now I've got to get my finger macro updated to type 2013 not 2012....
    Andy.

Thanks Andy, will give it a go.
We're under water here, my cine 8 has become a rather lovely piece of sculpture in the corner of the living room. I'm sure it's an old wives tale but apparently some people think the sky is blue.....imagine that!

    Hi Kat:
Yeah....I've been watching the Beeb from over here and it's not looking pretty.
We had a "wall-to-wall" sunshine day here today for the first time in living memory. Well, since, oh, a month or so. :)
Of course, I'm heads down working against a production deadline so no flying for me either....sigh.

Let me know either way whether that firmware file works for you, please.

    Andy.

    Hi Andy

I am back to the radian bootloader issue. When turning it on, it goes 40% of the time to bootloader mode.
Jean from Flycam has contacted you guys about that...and serials has been confirmed to be "no issue".
I might be doing something wrong.

Even having the Radians individualy connected to power only...they keep going to bootloader mode.

    Any idea?

    Tks,
    sylvio

    Sylvio,

If it ever goes into bootloader mode on it's own (green and yellow LED's constant immediately after power up) then it is almost certainly a bootloader firmware issue.

Just to confirm : you have nothing plugged into ports 5+6 and it still does it ?.

What are the serial numbers of the Radians affected ?.

I have only power plugged to port1. And it goes to bootloader mode about 50% of the time.
I am trying a firmware you posted befor on this thread.

Where can I read the serials. I dont see them anywhere.

    Sylivio,

Power it up into bootloader mode (shouldn't be too difficult ;-) ) then click 'connect to target' from the bootloader PC app. It will then show you the serial number.

That code issue typically relates to errors reading in the new Firmware file, not to the problem you're describing.

By the way, when you wrote "Jean from Flycam has contacted you guys about that," can you be more specific? JohnC is in Europe, and I'm on the West Coast of the USA, but neither of us work for Quadrocopter or Freefly. Just don't want to give you the impression that contact with either QC or FF means you contacted "us." :)

Andy, I am sorry, Jean got a repply from Megan...I guess she's from Freefly.

About the firmware. I don't have any problem updating the the Radians. No error messages.
All connections between PC and Radians look fine.
I tried reflashing the new firmware again. Same issue...Brazilian's Green/Yellow flag on. I am honored!!!!

    Hi Sylvio:
Not a problem re: contact -- just want you to be clear why we don't anything about the contact between Jean and Megan. :)

It's night time for JohnC right now, so I suspect we'll have to wait for daytime on the other side of the planet before he'll respond regarding serial numbers etc.

But glad to see he's honoring Brazil with the colors!
    Andy.
