I know I did. Methinks Graham beat me to it. Dunno who else is jumpy like that. Not nearly bold enough to buy 10 batteries like Graham did tho. The second Tabb confirms they are flight compliant batteries however. . . . The Google Doc of Owner/Operators. . . . https://docs.google.com/a/steadicam...UHdDZpbktfbUVlVEhwd0ZiNEdCamtyb0E&usp=sharing
Nice Joshua! Im really in trouble. . . i accidentally did it twice. I want to change name of thread to "owner operators" but i am not nearly skilled enough. maybe one day.
Just bought mine! Got the aero landing gear, ring, 2 batteries, charger, all red cables and will be adding the MoVI controller soon. Josh
Got one as well! Was close to buying an M15 but glad I waited. I went with 2 additional batteries and some of the cables. Phase 2 of ordering will include 2x batteries, 1x charger, 15mm and 30mm clamps, toad on a stick and a case. What all are you doing for a case?
Congrats on your timing! Gonna wait till i get it and hold it up against my pelican 1730's. . . .lol if i cannot order one of those and custom fit this in it for $500 bucks, I dunno if im gonna trust another company at that price point. I will likely just buy the FreeFly one at that point. TBH bro, i was looking at it yesterday, and I might just get it anyways. For $1000, its gonna be really hard to match the laser cut, multilevel thing they got going on.
I'm curious about their case for $1k, but unless I'm putting it on an airplane, I don't know if it's over kill. Looking at the specs, the case is 41lbs! May have to try a custom one with Pelican
dannnggg. . . . . you just convinced me to buy it. If pelicans site is right, my 1730's shipping weight is 83 big ones!
I am super impressed with the case they put their ALTA 8 in. . . . Harder plastic. Will this lead to more breaks cause there is less elasticity? Dunno. But im doing it unless i find something in next few minutes.
Yea. . . Pelican's stuff is cheaper, but waaaayyy heavier it seems. And as the proud owner of two 1730's they feel every bit of 60 pounds. dont really feel like 83, but i do weigh 190. The only alternative they have costs more and is heavier, so ill waste that time after it does not fit in the 1730 case. I am getting two MOVI pros, one of which will be rented sometimes. Having the cheaper, heavy pelican would be good there, if it fits. But this needs a new thread! im starting it. . . . .
please do. I'd love to hear what other people are doing for a case. Not saying it's not amazing quality or worth the price, but I have a hard time spending $1,000 on a case
As soon as I got home from Santa Monica I sold my M5 and pulled the trigger on the movi Pro I almost bought an M15 2 weeks ago... close one. I ordered Handheld Bundle 3x Extra Batteries Aero Landing Gear RCP & Power Red Cables Lanc Cable USB & Spektrum Reciever Cables 15, 25 & 30mm Pop n Lock I don't have a Movi Controller or a Case for it. Interested to see what Jason Cases does. Luckily I have a separate red rock remote focus system. I'm really hoping they develop compatibility or make a separate handset for pulling focus. The focus puller should not have to operate camera.
I just realized what makes these things successful is an attached Google Doc. I will make one and post the link asap.
. . . . .or simply post the extensive list of Movi owners/operators already created. Add your info! Ill add my m10, movi pros, and alta 8 later. https://docs.google.com/a/steadicam...UHdDZpbktfbUVlVEhwd0ZiNEdCamtyb0E&usp=sharing
Why is no one on that list using Los Angeles as their home city? I've got my info added and resorted to the standard. Cheers!
