I just solved how to fix this error message while updating firmware(i was updating to akira). It has only been referenced once online and with no solution. ( http://forum.freeflysystems.com/ind...oth-please-reboot-device-and-update-usi.3090/ ) "Failed to update firmware! If device supports WIFI and bluetooth please reboot device and update using bluetooth" This updated failed on 2 androids and 2 mac computers. What I did to solve the issue after lengthy emails back and forth with Chris was to do an unbrick firmware update. So i guess if you have this issue get a hold of them and try to get the instructions for an unbrick+jumper+firmware update This ended up working, the firmware update progress bar was moving for the first time and now everything works.
I've been asked not to share how we got it to work however there is a solution that worked for me that Freefly helped me with.
Eh! So what is this a test or something. I have the same issues u had and u got help from who ever. Why would it not be helpful to share to others that are having the same issue!?
So I have to wait for a response from FF when there is a solution you know about! Maybe a weekend FF warrior will chip in. Don't get why a solution would be with held for any reason.
Sorry bud. Wish I could help more. But reference my (Yuri Tereshyn m5) problem solving with support to see if they can help you
So what they going to do if you help others... BAN you! If its such a secret then delete the thread that says "SOLVED"
Bollocks. Thats what the forum is for to give solutions not give BullPhoo answers that helps no one and just waists time. Don't bother replying unless you can help with a solution the than contact support... Forum = support from others who help each other not play games. Delete the post its useless.
Sorry man. It's the best I can suggest. Contact them in reference to the issue which was temporarily solved in my case in a certain way.
Sorry, Dave...I actually don't know the answer -- and, as I'm only a volunteer and don't work at FF I don't have a particular "in" with FF. My best guess -- and it really is a guess -- is that the procedure, if done without specific instructions and/or assistance may result in Really Bad Things happening to the device. I will ask FF on your behalf though -- and to confirm whether I'm right on this. Conversations cannot be linked? I thought I'm just replying to comments. Maybe I'm just confused by the mobile site. Anyway everything is good and my Akira works
