Just wondering if anyone is using the MIMIC in conjunction with the ALTA?
Whats your set up, take off and landing procedure?
I'm interested to know how people get around the fact that there isn't a kill, or lock function with the MIMIC.

We found that we can actually have both a futaba rx and mimic rx plugged in at the same time, so we use our futaba gimbal tx as normal, using the kill/park switch when on the ground etc. The mimic overrides the other control functions, so when turned on it controls the movi, but the kill switch on the tx still works. It's works pretty well, also means we can revert back to tx control whilst airborne if needed by just turning of the mimic.

Jack, what kind of range are you seeing with the MIMIC airborne?

Hey Steve, we were only getting 100m or so which wasn't enough, now using a 2.4ghz wifi signal booster and getting the 500m we need easily (max legal distance here in the UK). I don't know why the standard range is so short - I would have thought range would be as good as a standard radio tx - spectrum or futaba! But I guess the mimic tx must have much less power for some reason...
