Word is that it will theoretically accomodate up to thirty-two (32) 6S/4.5A lipos. However, it has only been tested with 8.

    Greetings,
    Adam

It would be easier to bolt on a Honda EU2000i generator rather than 32 Lipos, wouldn't it? And less weight. :)

    Andy.

Sounds like a Delorean to me...just keep it under 88MPH.

looks like the only "innovation" I see here is a custom frame and the gimbal looks like a beast.
DJI FC, Tattu Lipos, KDE motors....

Maybe these motors were made to order for them by KDE (the design looks much like KDE's), but the double prop on top system doesn't look like anything that KDE has in their current offer.

The DJI A2 is worrying though... Maybe it's just a prototype U1 and they were just testing how the airframe handles? I was hoping that a company like Shotover would come up with their own FC and innovate a bit. And by innovate I don't mean add some stupid new features, but rather come up with some new, super safe control algorithm or something like that. :)

Redundant flight controller based on Cloudcap piccolo ...

If the performance of their larger size Shotovers on full size helis is any indication (e.g. unbelievable performance at 250mm focal length) , the U1 should be stellar.

An interesting feature is the coax motors arrangement, with what looks like two stacked motors and two props above.
