So this works really well (aside from rather severe Mimic range limitations in current Beta).
Wish range wasn't preventing aerial use but have high hopes for a solution...

It's genius! But I wouldn't put a 3W range booster near anyones's brain (which I am trying for Controller / Mimic to overcome the range problem)

Thanks mate but yes LOL I'm rather nervous about a high powered antenna array surrounding my brain :-/

That said, if we can in fact hack the Mimics range, it may be possible to extend the antenna whip to a safe distance.

Fingers crossed...love Mimic...love this set up...hate the range problems.

Stick the antenna on a pole that comes up out of a back pack, perhaps? This has the advantage of not irradiating your brain and also you will look so dorky that people will really hesitate before they distract you with questions. :)

Adam, no to the blinking. Better to have an air powered spit/puffer tube switch. Kind of a bag pipe look to the whole rig with the 20 ft fishing pole lighting attracting antenna on a backpack. The possibilities are endless, the picture priceless...

Great minds think alike...I'm still not sure a backpack antenna array won't be necessary but have hopes Mimic / MoVI / Spectrum 8 range issues can be solved somehow.

    Thank you,

Just for the record, the full aphorism as I recall it, is: "Great minds think alike, and fools never differ." <evil grin>

How about an "anus clench" return to home sensor? LOL
