I am using the Beta FW v2.0.5 on my Controller and the MoVI M10 is on v4.01. Everything is working fine except for Mimic Mode. In the TX Config, when I select Mimic in TX Mode I loose my connection to the MoVI. Switching back to Normal I have a connection....... After researching more I realize my mistake, I didn't update the MoVI firmware to 4.02. Mimic is working. I especially like the roll capability in Normal Mode.
Hi Robert: Did you use the jumper cable to update firmware? I read on the website that we have to update it with the jumper. I always updated without and I never felt any problem. Is that a policy just for the 4.02?
Is it possible to assign the Mimic Mode to be selected by a user key? Such as User 3? (We have not updated firmware yet, as everything is working well, and we have a lot of work on). Ideally, I want to be able to go from Joystick control to Mimic control quickly, and without having to go into the menus. Any feedback appreciated. Thanks,
Haven´t tried it yet but as long as the mimic is off the movi goes back to normal and then I think you just have to change radio settings from movi controller to DSM.
Ben, You will still have full joystick control when the MIMIC is enabled on the MōVI Controller. If the Controller is mounted to a fluid head, you can leave MIMIC mode enabled and lock off the head when you want to just use the stick for control.
Is this possible with Spectrum controller as well? Guessing not as it needs a different RX correct? Thank you,
You only need to use the jumper cable in the event that firmware upgrade fails, Aleksandar. In that case, then here's the link you need: https://freeflysystems.zendesk.com/...his-small-5-pin-cable-that-came-with-my-MōVI- Andy
Charles, the firmware update instructions for the MōVI Controller can be found in this article in our Knowledge Base, in the App & Firmware section. The firmware itself is at the bottom of our Software & Manuals page.
