OK, so I am going to try the Tendak also, as back up. Now, will it work if I am drinking Lavazza or should I just get an Illy/Peets blend? We already know that Chris drinks a pumpkin flavored blend.
Just curious. the Kopterworx converter you link to uses a Mini HDMI connector, but the GH4 has a Micro HDMI port. Are you using another converter cable as well?
I've been following this thread with great interest for a while now as I'm trying very hard to get my GH4 working with my aerial setup, but to no avail. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Here's my setup: • GH4 (I think I have all the settings correct for HDMI output) • AerialPixels HDMI to Mini HDMI converter ( https://aerialpixels.com/shop/hdmi-a...upports-1080p/ ) • TS832 5.8G 600mw 32CH VTX ( http://www.foxtechfpv.com/ts832-58g-...tx-p-1132.html ) • Lilliput Diversity Monitor. The image I'm getting looks like this. It is a static image, i.e. does not reflect at all what the camera is seeing.: There is a possibility I may have connected the video and ground wires between the converter and the Vtx up backwards. Could this have damaged the AV Converter board and cause this image? Any advice would surely be appreciated.
I have the same Problem with my gh4... in C1 Mode i have live view on my Monitor, but switch to Movie, the Display Shows the same by Patrick Taylor I use this Konverter http://kopterworx.com/hdmi-to-av-converter-mini.html When i use the Canon 5D all is good, use a RED epic all is good, but i use GH4 the Problem is going on. When i use a Marshall Monitor directly connected to the gh4 i have live view. Sorry für my bad english, i'm from Germany.
Your English is great. I have to believe there is a way to make this work, as I just can't imagine that every aerial movie I've seen shot with a GH4 was done with a Zenmuse Z15. I'm far to invested now to give up.
Thanks for the greatment The GH4 in the Zenmuse Z15-GH4 gimbal works good...no problems about view months. I can remember for circa 8 months the GH4 in the M10 and with den Converter, it works fine...then i think the problem is in the Options from the GH4.... Now the Question is...what are the best Options in the GH4 to work fine.
My Output in the GH4 was set on AUTO...i change it to 1080p...and the system makes good also i have change the PAL Frequenzi to cinema 4k...
Now the system run in all resolutions i think the problem was the Output Medium in the GH4...i change it from AUTO zu 1080 and all is good sorry for my bad englisch
copternauten welcome to the forums. Would you be kind enough to change your user name to your real first name and last name, please? The reasons for this (and how to do it) are explained here: http://forum.freeflysystems.com/index.php?threads/real-names.497/.
Glad you got yours working! Wish I could say the same. Actually, I've already tried both Auto and 1080, and neither one works. I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure this out!
Sounds like you have a bad box. There are various flavors of these. I guess I've gotten lucky with the 3 that I've used. They all worked with my GH4 at all resolutions.
For anyone searching for a HDMI converter that is NOT the size of a house brick then this is a nifty little converter. https://www.hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking/store/__86245__RCD_3016_HDMI_to_AV_port_converter.html There is a RCD3015 that works with Sony's but NOT with GH3/GH4. I have just ordered the 3016 as it clearly states GH series. We will see. Dave
Hi Dave, That looks like a real neat little solution. Keep us posted on the outcome. Would be great to see some converted results.
Caveat Emptor. I've never found any converter/cable combo that will take power from the GH4. I supply 5VDC from elsewhere on my hacked-up el cheapo Amazon boxes.
