I always wonder what the issue might be? Does the iOS present some kind of difficulty? I would think it would be just as stable and possibly even more responsive.

What I've heard is that the MōVI hardware uses a Bluetooth chip that's not compatible (approved?) with iOS, so because you can't write your own drivers for iOS (which you can for Android), they can't talk to it. I don't quite understand enough about iOS and modern comms to know if that's true. I think that's why they're going to use Wi-Fi on the ALTA/Synapse instead of Bluetooth. Or maybe they have a new Bluetooth implementation. But it sounds like we may not see iOS compatibility with this generation of MōVIs unless Apple changes something on their end.

Steve, That's interesting insight into what the issue might be.

But even if that's true, they have known about it for years and could implement a different bluetooth. For older units, they could offer an "upgrade" kit, like they did for the Movi M10 cage kit. For newer units, they could start phasing them in whenever they are ready. They also did that on the Movi M10, which I believe new units are shipping with the CAGE already built-in.

Waiting for Apple to change something is futile. I'm still waiting for Adobe Flash to become compatible with my iPhone since I own half a dozen websites that were built on Flash. Still waiting... 7 years now :)) I mostly feel silly for not doing something about it years ago, and if I had more time and resources, would just do it.
