hi, i want to know... what size wire the tero isolators use? 1/16" or is it bigger? maybe who can i order the wiredamper´s ? thx a lot ... i bought an baja and now its time for modding
We use the 1/4" wire for lighter cameras like the c-100 and lighter and 5/16" for heaver such as the f7. We built our own as well and found the heavier gauge works well with the ronin and the c300 or dragon. low cg and light weight on top is best for not tipping but the extra weight of the ronin did make for smoother footage but we now almost always use the M15 for not wanting to tip over. It's scary at 40 mph. lot's of trial and error on the lengths of wire as well. there is a sweet spot between being so high everything feels like it's going to tip and so rigid running on grass looks horrible. we stuck to 12 1/2" to make the loops. Good luck with it. here's 2 vid's with speeds from 1mph to 40mph & https://vimeo.com/108385341 this thing makes for some really neat shots though. Cost was under $1500 total.
We did with the 1st motor at low speeds and went with an alien censored motor and esc, the only time vibrations have been had at speeds over 1-2mph were with too heavy a gauge wire. The plate has to float. if it becomes necessary with too light a load you can add standard shocks to the plate to aid with take off and turning. What we have found is the heavier the camera setup the better for vibration. Best we've had so far was the ronin with a red dragon. The weight was really good for the wire rings. A small note as well was widening the wheel base with offsets to lower the cg
So you found a sensored motor and esc? Did it get rid of the clogging When taking off slow? The castle motor has issues with cogging.
