Hey so I'm not sure if this makes me slow, but can anyone give me suggestions on how to put the M5 in the carrying case? My work got the holiday deal, and I can't for the life of me figure it out. There is a lot of foam and shapes ~(9_9)~ I am not sure how it all fits. Is there different ways?
Well it's the one that Freefly gave us. It doesn't really look like either (though that might be because of the red), though if I had to pick it would be the bottom one.
I just looked on the website and the case had pictures of the MoVi in it (x~x) though I am still not sure what the triangle foams are for.
I don't have the case so I can only speculate, but do the triangle pieces of foam go in the bottom below the foam that holds the actual gimbal? You'll notice on the Freefly page that the Movi sits at an angle, allowing you to put the stand in below the top "tray" of foam holding your monitor and batteries. Just a guess but that is the only thing I can think of.
You can fit a M5 in a with the stand inside a Pelican 1510 carry on case. Highly recommend if you're traveling a lot.
Take the two big foam pieces out. That should leave you with 3 small angled pieces. Use the angled piece in the middle (with the holes) for your Movi Stand. Then put the larger foam piece back in.... Use that piece for the Movi. Put the last piece back in.... Use that for your batteries and screens. Hope that helps. The ONLY thing that the Freefly case WILL NOT fit is the Spektrum controller. Kind of a bummer.
can anyone tell me which pelican case the MōVI M5 Travel Case is ? i would like to buy some replacement foams for it. thank you in advance
Here's how I used a Pelican Case to fit my MoVI for travel. I fly with my M5 regularly and have yet to have any issues. http://alwaysdtf.ca/diy-movi-m5-hard-case/
