Hi all, first time in the forums!

We just ordered a Teradek Clip to enable wireless video output from a Canon C300 to an iPad. Wondering about external battery solutions; we'd prefer not to add a battery adapter, but instead plug it in to the Anton Bauer battery we're adding to the C300 rig. Has anyone else tried this?

I've received some conflicting info from Teradek salesmen -- one guy said they would modify their existing Powertap cable for the Cube by removing the Lemo plug and adding a barrel. But another salesman said there was a risk of overloading from the AB battery (over 16v) that might blow the Clip. Would love to get some clarity on this and figure out if the Powertap solution will work!

    TIA,

    JVK

    Hey John,

The barrel to Ptap will work just fine on Clip. Clip's voltage range is 6-17V so even a fully charged Anton Bauer should be fine.

Do you have the link to the p-tap? I am looking for the P-tap to Clip as well, but can't find the cable. Anyone?

It's a special order from Teradek. Contact their sales dept. and tell them it's what you want; it's not shown in their store as they have to mod an existing cable.

How much would it be? Or anyone has tried 3rd party cable?
