Just wanted to see if it was possible, and sure nuff it is. There is quite a bit that has to go into re-wiring the boards and re-addressing. Running a 2.1 FC 2.0 gps/navi and 2.0 BL on 4s power.

So far it's very stable. I have flipped it on takeoff once due some high winds with no payload (It seems to fly MUCH better with the two axis/A7r). It it is a bit more snappy then the old flat 4s cs6 it was made from and is purpose designed for me to use as a hiking rig (the HL Hex is just a pain in the ass to hike with for photography). I do plan on exploring a HL version that can put a M5 + a7s/GH4 in the air once I am satisfied with this lil guy. I also need to toss some real props on it and not APC's. One thing I dislike is the motors. The MK motors don't seem to like the coax config very much as I have noticed them running very hot. Overall its about 400 grams lighter then a flat, with the A7r it flies for about 7 minutes on either 1 6200 4s or 2 3200 4s and is stable enough to do a wide panno. It is also very good in medium winds (tested in 10mph last night) and very easy to see at night due to the side mount lights.
Sounds great Ryan. How Yaw stable is it if you try flying-fiming in a straight line over 100-150m? Would you need a 3x gimbal to compensate for the random yaw drift then? regards. /Janne
This one is not for filming at all. Just stills photography which I know could be done on my M5/CS Hl but that option requires a lot of packing to get 5 miles in for 2-4 stills.

Ryan do u still have this rig? I have a old cs6 that we dont use anymore i thinking of converting for fun! My x8 is fun to fly so why not try this hahaha did you make it any smaller? what props did you have? thanks for your time
