Hi, I'm running 4s 6000 in paralell , and bought more batterys and now I'm looking for a charger that I can charge multiple packs at the same time, currently I'm using 2 Ac /Dc chargers, it would be so nice to charge 4 at a time, Thanks, Jason
We're using the Hitec X4 charger which has a built in 200w power supply. It can handle up to 6s x4. You can also connect it to a car battery in the field. We have it setup to charge 8 packs simultaneously (parallel) by using EC5 Y harnesses. That looks great, with the paralell cable connected and 8 packs how do you hook up a balancer for all 8 packs? What amount of time does it take to charge all of those packs? 4s? How many mah are you using?
Sorry for posting in this old thread. Just wanted to let you guys know that iCharger 4010 Duo is an absolute beast. It has two asynchronous channels, delivers up to 2000W of power and comes with these little balance boards, where you can connect two 4S, two 5S, three 3S (and so on) packs in series. You could charge four 4S packs at a time.
Mateusz totally agree. Challenge as I was looking at them was finding a large enough power supply to get the full benefit. In the states ProgressiveRC has a 2000W 48V Mean Well power supply but in reality it will only get you 40amps on one side and something much less on the other. So not sure how you would power 40a out of both ports without a nuclear plant under the charging stand
That's a legitimate concern Gary. I already have the charger but haven't bought the planned 7S packs yet, so for now I use a regular ATX PSU to charge my 3S packs. Once I have the 7S packs, I'm planning to use a server PSU - HP ESP120 - with slight modifications to drop output voltage just a little bit. It can give up to 3000W of power and is really cheap (seen used ones on eBay for something like $40). There are threads on RCGroups where people post pinouts and modifications needed to drop voltage.
Yep I saw those as i was thinking about a different charger. But with the amount invested in batteries and the charger I am just skeptical about wiring 3 or 4 of the HP PSU's together. And then trying to find a 110v 20amp circuit since most places are 15amps. And the overall size if you travel with your equipment. For only losing 10amps the iCharger 306b looks interesting. Or the FMA Powerlab 8 V2 at 40amps. Both are less expensive.

Powerlab PL8 with the eFuel 1200. I can charge 2 6S at a time, 2C rate, using the Revolectrix/Powerlab MPA boards. The MPA boards are built like tanks with full fusing on all circuits.
That's the setup. I also bought the USB dongle and drive everything from the computer unless I am remote. Packs are all FF9000's. I try to keep the total charge AMPS running at 36 or so and the eFuel does a good job. Much more than that it runs out of oomph.
Gary - still using the eFuel 1200? Read some reports people have run into problems when using the Revolectrix chargers with them - seems some of the newer eFuel power supplies are spiking on startup? Did you consider the Revolectrix Power Station in your initial research?
Haven't had any problem with the eFuels and the PowerLab8. I did try one of their chargers and sent it back. Fan sounded like a jet engine. And I need duals since I use two PowerLab8's.
