Is anyone running their rig on 8s voltage or above? if so what are the pros and cons. Also how is the wiring different?
    thanks guys!

I don't know anybody personally, but here's what you'd face.
    • You could wire two big 6S LiPos in series to get a (scary) 12S power plant.
    • There are few ESCs that would work at 8S or 12S. KDE's new ones will: http://www.kdedirect.com/XFMRBrushlessElectronics.html
    • I don't think any of the currently-available flight control systems will work on anything above 6S, so you'd need to step down the voltage for the other onboard electronic systems (and beware cheap BECs).
    • And some new motors will go up that high, but you'd be kind of off on your own with respect to integration/testing.
And I've seen plenty of examples of how that can all end in tears.
