The Ronin weighs 9 pounds without the camera rig. I saw a picture of the Ronin flying a carbon dragon. Someone paid 20k to loose less than a pound off the camera but is cool with additional 5 pounds from the rig. If total "hand held" weight is important to you then the M10 is a good deal. The M15 will be the system to beat if Freefly can keep the weight down. But iOS support is essential.

9 pounds???? Is it made of steel? ;)
That´s a major drawback. Everybody who has worked with a handheld gimbal knows that weight really is an issue. The price really is tempting, but I´m still happy to have a MoVI instead.

    - 9.26lbs with handlebar
    - 16Lbs payload
total weight for a camera like an epic could weigh in at 25 pounds.

Don´t forget monitor, etc. That isn´t in the payload because it´s mounted on the handlebar.

There are some nice things about it. The sliding lock system and ruler marks.

Wow 9 pounds? Part of what you're paying for with a Movi system is to keep the system lightweight. I guess if you increase the weight of the system you can charge alot less for the product because you don't have to spend as much time and money engineering/manufacturing it.

They're going to have to offer a back brace with all that weight. Or I'm going to have to hit the gym more often.

We offered ruler marks for the Movi system early on, and nobody really cared for it. Most of the pros just said that they "feel" their way through the balance point.
