There Herkules ESC`s which has fixed end points. The odd thing was, everything had been working great, nothing changed. Then next flight it flipped. First time its ever done that to me, I've had enough flights with Super X to trust it. Im emailing support to work out what happened. Triple checked the motor and prop directions, there was no wind and i didn't bump it on power up. I was in Atti mode. Its very odd. It was as if the IMU was upside down.
Question for anyone using the Alexmos board. When you power up the board does your copter yaw back and forth at all? Mine does and I find it annoying because I have to make sure the ACC is calibrated before I power the gimbal up.
They all do that with the 8bit controller. I don't know about the 32bit. If you lift the copter off the ground wont do it. Bill
It is the same with 32-bit controllers. To solve this problem, you assign 3 profiles on a CMD switch. Once you setup your PID settings, you copy that to Proile 2 and 3. Profile 1: Set all motor powers to 0. Profile 2: Set pan motor power to 0. Profile 3: Leave all the settings to your default PID settings. Then you switch to profile 3 once you get airborne.
Dave, Lets say your switch is on channel 6. You connect cable to your reciever's CH6 and one of Alexmos RC inputs, lets say FC_ROLL. On the RC settings menu of Alexmos, you assign FC_ROLL to CMD function. You can see the details in this video around 3:30. Hope that helps.

The result is for every half round the motor spin, the belt becomes completely tight and totally slack - impossible to adjust... :-( Go for the direct drive Cheers

I guess I would start at the star plate, Dave -- are you planning to use a Toad in the Hole there? If so, that would somewhat determine what you need as a mount point for the handlebars. As for the grips, I think you could get standard grips for for the 1" CF tube. The mounting brackets could be standard T assemblies from FF. Andy.
Hi Dave, First of you have to remove the three tubes that attach to the legs. If you have any 25mm tubes cut them short and put them back on the pan plate. Next you will need those items. one of those and one of those and two of these Also you will need a 25mm handle bar and two 25mm handle bar handles about 150mm long. and that should do it. The problem is that the pan bracket is not sold separately. It comes with the pan cage. Bill
HI Andy Yes I have a couple toads/holes sets that I can use. I'm looking for something that I don't have to remove my existing gimbal parts to even if it adds an extra layer of tubing on top of it.
Guys Here's what I would like to attach the handle bars assembly to because I really don't want to remove my existing aerial stuff. I don't want to remove the tubes that attach to the legs because I have power and video wiring inside them and it wouldn't make for a versatile setup. So I would like to come up with a handle bars setup that I can simply bolt the hole part of the "toad in a hole" to and then connect it up my aerial rig. I don't buying a pan cage if I have to I just want something that will be versatile that I can connect it up fast. I have no experience with the handle bars setup on a gimbal (never even seen one in person) so that's why I wanted to ask. Thoughts?
