We tried the gen1 Moverio BT100 a few years back and found the when you looked towards the sky the video display would wash out.
Looks like this has been fixed with also a smaller design.

    Cheers,
    Jeff

I’m really curious about these. I love the Cinemizers, but in bright daylight they’re all but useless, at least for me.

Hi Steve: The secret for the Cinemizers is a Tilley Hat: http://www.amazon.com/Tilley-Endurables-LTM6-Airflo-Hat/dp/B0033WRVQI
Keep your head cool, shield your eyes so you can see the Cinemizers but still look up into the sky, and best of all, when you wear the hat you become incredibly polite. The hats are made in Canada and they have that effect.

Oh....and you'll feel the urge to play hockey....

    Andy.

Funny, I actually own and wear a Tilley hat, although I haven’t used it while flying. I’m an American, so I favor baseball caps. Although I must say my baseball caps make me rude, opinionated, fat and vaguely imperialistic. So maybe I should wear the Tilley more often.

I had heard that about baseball caps. The restaurant in the hotel where I am (in Canada) actually has a dress code that says "no torn clothing or baseball caps," so there must be some truth to it. Oh, and the caps don't protect your ears from the sun and, as you've found there is too much lateral ambient light leaking into the Cinemizers. :)

Wear the Tilley hat when you're posting, Steve. We'll see if we can detect the difference. <evil grin>

    Andy.

What colour options do you have for the glasses? Key that you look good while flying and sometimes black just doesn't cut it.

If you looked at this forum's participants and some of the videos they (we) have published, and take note of the aggregate fashion sense of the lot of us, you'd rethink your choice of sounding boards for fashion advice.

Oh, I don't know.....there's a general trait of, ummm, "flood victim look" coupled with "boulevardier." :)
