    Hi Pat...
I really prefer XOAR props, i fly with 14*5.
Wood props are far better than plastic props for sure....
Try XOAR 14*5 and you won't be disappointed...

What sort of props are your 14*4.7 (wood, plastic, carbon) i don't think that there is a big difference between two plastic props 14*5 and 14*4.7 for example.

I'm using the APC 14x4.7 but I'm seriously considering upgrading to Xoar for the simple reason of Tracking!!! My APCs lose tracking on hot days and this causes some annoying vibrations.

For everything up to an FS100 I really like the APC 14x4.7 The XOAR props fly much better IMO but I do not like having to be so careful with the machine. With the APC props they are really tough and can take some abuse throwing in the back of the car etc.

If you have to carry bigger / heavier cameras the next step up for me is the XOAR 14x6 prop. After that if I need more lift I step up to a XOAR 15x5. I have not tested anything bigger yet as I am waiting on some 16's and 17's. That said the 15x5's create more then enough lift for anything I will be carrying in the near future.

    Best,

    Tabb

The APC 14 x 4.7's can be balanced by sanding -- I presume you have to stick tape on the Xoar's as they have a gloss finish on them.
I think I'll stay with the APCs until those trees stop leaping into the flight path....we have very aggressive trees in the Pacific Northwest.
Don't think I want to spring for wood or carbon fibre props just yet until I've got at least a couple of hundred flight hours.

If they are made of nylon or plastic, they all will have this issue, by use or heat,
You can fix them with a little bend here bend there with hands.
Or it may be the motor mount disalinged chech with a bublle level.
If it is the propeller you will have to leave with the bend here bend there procedure or move to carbon/wood
The nylon have this issues, bu as Tabb said somewhere they don´t need as 1/3 of care as the others require, ( on transport, wood is the most sensitive to chips, followed by carbon.... don´t ask me how I know

I found the 13x6.5 to be too heavy and fly poorly. The 14x4.7 are still my favorite prop for anything up to an FS100/700 sized camera

Exactly the same experience we've had with testing props. We love the APC SF 14x4.7 for lighter cams, but the Xoars are the way to go for the heavier cams.

In our limited experience, we have also been very happy with the APC.
New CarbonFiber props will get a trial today.

We're also trying out some carbon fiber Xoar props - we'll see how they fly.

I have tested xoar 13x6,5 and some carbon 14x4,7 SF and still i always ending up using the apc 14x4,7. For some reason these works really good on this bird.
