does the rocket m5 gps version provide any added benefit?

 

We do not have the GPS version, but I imagine that it doesn't provide any benefit for range.

How are you guys going to mount your iPads? is there an attachment to put it on a c-stand or pick stand? can you mount it on a secraft transmitter tray?

 

I have ordered a cheap ipad-holder for cars that im going to screw on the secraft tray.

 

Velcro with a self adhesive back and glue it to the iPad ... should do the trick

Thanks, i have the ipad mini and i just ordered this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Black-Car-A...der_Mounts_Stands_Holders&hash=item4d12002cf5 and took the plate and a screw throu the hole in the middle, you can also glue, zip-tie or whatever you want, simple, easy and cheap.

i´ve happily received my Clip and am currently testing the unit with my 5D3. The strange thing is: I do have an ipadRetina (ipad4) and an ipadMini. On one I get an input of 1080i50 on the other 480p - same setup, just pressing the switch feed button in the teraclip app.
Basically both look the same - rather 480p - not really usable for focus pulling (compared to my smallHD DP6 - without focus assist!!!).
Video quality is set to max - one shows 8, the other 5. Signal quality (wifi) is at max.
Am I doing something wrong?

I picked up this Nootle ipad holder: http://www.grifiti.com/products/nootle-ipad-mini-tripod-mount-fits-any-tripod-or-light-stand

It features a 1/4-20 threaded hole in the center. I then just drilled out the center hole in the Secraft FPV tray and used a tripod screw for attachment.

Any one having good experience with the clip and ubiquiti router?

 

Mine is sitting in a box on my desk waiting for a few free hours to get it going. I've tried the Clip by itself, and it's pretty cool.

 

I spoke with someone last week that was seeing 300meters with the Airport Extreme

Should I run to Best Buy to see if he's wrong? Also, wondering if adding a better 5.8 antenna on the Clip (ie: Bluebeam) would offer improvement?

 

Maybe someone can offer some advice or pointers out there, but I am having absolutely terrible results with the clip and I am at a loss as to what to try. I understand you need a router or something to achieve the best range/performance, but if I even walk into the other room, or am 15ft+ away out side, line of sight, I either get 3+seconds of delay, or the 'connecting screen' What gives? I'm using an Ipad 4 and have the clip hooked up to my scarlet, set to output 720.

The odd thing is, that I will still have two, or even full wifi reception bars.... I've tried every combo of settings for the buffer and quality.. Reset to factory defaults, tried different frequencies and channels. Anyone know anything? I'm going to call teradek on monday to see if they can offer any advice.
