Got my 3 axis board, was unpleased with the quality as it was one of the first batch shipped. The 4 wires to imu were not sending signals to sensor and kept getting sensor disconnect errors. Sending back and hoping for the best when i get my new one. Only problem is ARMBGC shipping takes FOREVER!
Sky: Welcome to the forum. If it's not too much trouble, would you be kind enough to change your user name to your real first name and last name, please? The reasons for this (and how to do it) are explained here: http://forum.freeflysystems.com/index.php?threads/real-names.497/ Thanks Andy
No actually I had Skype call with armbgc and they said it was a bad sensor cable, so I sent it back on Monday.
Hi there. I have received my 3 axis add on from Armbgc. It all connects in GUI 2.1 but I am having problems getting it to upgrade the board firmware to 2.2 so I can then use the 3 axis add-on. Anyone got any tricks as to the sequence of events to get the new firmware to load up? Thanks Kat
Ho Thomas. I hve tried Xloader and Avrdude to load the firmware and neither is working. I have also tried through GUI 2.1 I have the 3 axis add on working and up and running on the gimbal, just wanted to know if anyone else has had issue with the upgrade with boards from ArmBgc. I have written to them and gotten no response. On other forums people with similar exit code errors have been using unlicensed boards which are blocked to be able to perform the update so I am just wandering if there is actually something wrong with the ArmBgc board. Have you successfully loaded 2.2 onto your board? Thanks Katya
Hi Ozkan. I tried with a different version of X loader than the one listed as a zip on the simplebgc site and that worked as Thomas suggested. I just typed X loader into google and it led me to the site of the guy who made the program in the first place and I down loaded that. Said that it failed but had actually worked. Just found this today so very happy Thanks Kat
Hi Andy. I will post it in the morning when I fire up the PC. In the meant time could some clever person let me know what the '3-axi board Mosfet' is on the ArmBgc website. Does that mean more powerful motors can be used and where does it fit in the whole 3 axis configuration? Thanks Kat
