Matt I tried to add you but got a message that the internet was full and no more content can be added to the internet. Only kidding....
If at all possible I would greatly appreciate to be a participant. I have a really big project coming up soon and would love to hear others input.
To me, it seems that there could be up to a $5,000 dollar difference in day rates between everybody who has asked to join the conversation. With variables such as camera, one/two operator setups, and experience/past clients there is no way that everyone can ask for the same rate. But maybe you guys are hashing that out in there. I am interested in what, if any, contracts folks are drawing up for clients to protect themselves in tough flying conditions and what the client response is. So if folks are willing to discuss that subject I would love to join.
Hi Gary/Andy - I'd love to be a part of the convo, I realize I may be late but would still like to catch up on everyone's views! Thanks, Drew
Hi Drew: Welcome to the forum. If it's not too much trouble, would you be kind enough to change your user name to your real first name and last name, please? The reasons for this (and how to do it) are explained here: http://forum.freeflysystems.com/index.php?threads/real-names.497/ Thanks Andy
Wow. You win a prize for the most rapid response, Drew. I'm searching for that conversation now to issue the invite, but can't seem to find it. Gary or Brad might beat me to it... Andy.
I am breaking my own rule; asking for an invitation to a party. Can I go too? Let me in please. I hear all the cool kids are part of this conversation. Thanks
You've been invited, Justin. Wasn't me who did it though -- anyone already in the conversation can invite anyone else. Andy.
I would appreciate an invite to join. Like Sean, I would certainly be interested to hear how you guys are approaching difficult or high risk flying situations, e.g. over water, over precipitous drops etc. With the potential for complete write-off or even loss of the entire machine and camera this is maybe an unacceptable risk. Clients often seem to want over water footage, but don't like the idea of paying a significant premium to allow for the additional risk to be covered. Thanks Andrew
We use a extra risk factor in the offers. And this is about 2% off value in the air extra. Maybe something to think about. · Flight above water, sand or high altitude (2000+m, 6000+ feet · Flight in extreme temperatures (below 0° C or above 30°C) · We do not fly in fog, rain, snow
