Not rude at all still waiting for my alexmos to arrive so bought a couple of Martinez boards to play with whilst I'm waiting.
Hi Kat, This looks interesting. http://www.buildyourowndrone.co.uk/...less-Gimbal-p/dji-zenmuse-canon-5d-gimbal.htm Roger
Hi Roger Yes it looks good doesn't it. I can't remember who told me but I'm sure they said towards the end of the year. Did you find a solution to your iOSD and wanting to be connect to camera gimbal? Kat
Hi Kat, Yep all sorted and working. Now building a new, own design HL machine just for red Epic work. Looking at 18 minute flight time with a special brushless gimbal. Be interested to see your brushless 5D gimbal when its sorted. Regards Roger
How intriguing look forward to hearing more and will post some pics of my brushless effort when I get it flying smoothly currently it flies beautifully for about a minute and then I start to get feedback back up through to the frameset but my settings PID were a little different than Drew's. Have dialled his in and tested on the ground and it feels good but not had a chance to fly with them.....hopefully this weekend. Kat
18 min with Red Epic, wow tha sounds Epic! Love to here more about that bird when it is up in the air. Best regards. /Janne
The speed of this evolution.... New 180t much better than the ¨old¨150t? How long before the 210t? http://www.funtobuyonline.com/brushless-motors/ipower-gimbal-brushless-motor-gbm5208-180t-2pcs.html /Janne
Peter, Tried to view the video which shows your issues with your alexmos board and the motors acting as you described in your post, but it has been removed! Based on the description, though, it sounds like you and I are experiencing nearly identical behavior, and I am very interested in what you ultimately were able to find out about how to get past this minor bump in the road?? Please post updates so I might learn from them as we'll, thank you for your consideration in advance. Sincerely, Jonathan Lederer
Peter I also can't see the video. Are you getting I2C errors? How is your IMU mounted? can you post a pic Start with low power numbers (try 50) and clear the PID settings to see if the shaking goes away.
Hello. I've been happy with my FF 3 axis Radian gimbal for a long time now, but I think it's time to covert it to a brushless now. What conversion kits are u guys using for yours? I was thinking starting with tilt/roll axis and keeping the radian for pan for now. Please show me some different setups. G
I would start with tilt and roll and keep the pan radian for now. Thats what I did and im very happy with it. Saves some weight and the pan radian always worked great for me. I can upload some photos later.
I did some testing this weekend flying with a 50mm lens and I am blown away with the results. those settings are working great for me. Remember I am running a 4s battery with a 3s those settings did not hold up.
Yes that's what I was thinking too, but I was first into making the kit myself but I've seen some nice kits out there som my question is what motors to get? 5208/150 or 5280/180? And the alexmos. 4s or 5s? I fly the GH2, GH3 and sometimes the FS 700. Yes please post som pics
Hi Drew. Thanks for the posting and info and just a quick question. What 4S batteries are you running? I only have 5000maps but they are kind of heavy and seem a bit overkill for the gimbal? 50mm on GH2/3 or 5D? Thanks again Kat
Hi Kat, I found these, not far from You; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RC-Model-...1000mAh-4S-20C-14-8v-Lipo-Pack-/151018307116? Regards. /Janne
