Do you have any heat issues Kjetil? With a 5d and 5208's my boards are getting hot on my handheld unit. Camera is balanced perfect on tilt and roll. Pan needs work.

I have just built brushlessgimbals.com conversion with martinez board and wandered if anyone had some settings I could use as a starting point. Lifting the 5D.
    Thanks:)

An all in one 3 axis board hasn't been released yet. The first link is still a 2 axis board with an add on 3rd axis module. You can pick up a 3rd axis ext board to upgrade the 2 axis boards, or use 2 2axis boards. Apparently there are 3 different 3 axis extension boards being produced, but I only have experience with the one from fpv model known as the "discrete" board.

I would be wary of purchasing a board from a supplier other than the ones listed here. There are some boards out there running hacked alexmos software being sold a genuine. The hacked boards will not accept new genuine alexmos firmware updates. I'm not saying that the boards you linked are hacked ones, but it's possible. Be wary of non alexmos licensed sellers.

Just a guess but if you cant find anyone with that board maybe take someone's Alexmos settings and see how those go. Should at least get you into the ballpark unless they have WAY different sensors and programming.

Not by much... the motor power is lower on the 4s but overall it like the same settings just has more holding power in rough conditions

Hi guys! I want just share my initial experience with Martinez board on a Cinestar Gimbal adaptation.
We're using a Canon 5D mark2 with a 16-35mm Lens, 2 GBM5206 motors, Cinestar 3 axis gimbal, Martinez board with firmware 48b (49b doesn't work, it takes forever to connect and I have the message on screen: "PAR: reading values...")
I couldn't balanced the tilt properly, but it's not bad at all....

My PID setting at the moment are:

    PITCH:
    Iacc: 0.5
    P: 25
    D: 4
    max PWM: 75

    ROLL:
    Iacc: 0.5
    P: 25
    D: 6
    max PWM: 245

The setting are fast, but the tilt is not strong enough to hold the camera after movements (inertia)... I'm trying the get a higher value to max PWM in tilt but it's interference in the roll behavior, I don't know if I have to set a lower value to roll to be able to set a higher value to tilt (both max PWM)...

I'm sure it's needed a lot more tweeking and a better understand of how every parameters works...
any help or sharing of PID settings would be great...

    Thanks!
    Marco

The sensor works but it dossent effects the motors when turning, i tryed calibrating but still the same.

    Anyone have any iders. :-(

    Peter -

Which version of Alexmos Firmware are you using? If you are using version 2.0b4, did you "tell" the board that you have your IMU Sensor mounted sideways? That is, you must modify your settings on the board to correctly identify whichever Sensor axis is pointing "up", and that the right axis is "Z"

Also, of course, be sure to check that your roll motor is plugged into the roll motor port on your board, and the same with the pitch motor.

I hope this advice does not seem condescending. I only offer it because sometimes the basic stuff is the easiest to miss!

I have ordered my Cinestar 3-axis conversion kit, and so I've been following this thread. I've done a lot of experimenting with the Alexmos boards, and would be glad if this advice helps you.

    Good luck!
